Introducing the new Fit Model Division

Fit Model Division Rules

NPC AND IFBB PRO LEAGUE CRITERIA FOR JUDGING FIT MODEL COMPETITORS

Criteria for Judging Fit Model Physiques:

Condition Symmetry and Balance Presentation (Posing) Muscularity

Fit Model Competitors should display:

  1. A foundation of muscle which gives shape to the female body however the amount of muscle should be less than seen in Bikini.

  2. This means the amount of muscle in the legs, glutes, arms, and delts should be less than currently seen in the NPC and IFBB Pro League Bikini Division.

  3. Full glutes with no visible tie-in area. However, the glutes should be firm when doing the model walk to the back of the stage or in transitions while posing.

  4. Small amount of roundness to the delts but no capped delts.

  5. A core that is in shape but not too conditioned or lean.

  6. Overall conditioning that is less than the NPC and IFBB Pro League Bikini division but would be seen on a Mainstream Fitness Magazine Cover.

  7. Hair, tan, makeup, and suit that all work together and enhance their presentation.

I've seen this Division in Eastern Europe associations - some feature the women in cocktail dresses, some in sports attire.

No capped delts? Cap your delts girls - that's what the boys want!

Wonderful, a new division with criteria vague enough that the judges can completely ignore them in favor of the tried-and-true "doing whatever we feel like" method.

I like more devisions. while I prefer bigger ones at least this may get more women into bodybuilding and that is always awesome.

Ah yes, the judging criteria is "the girl we want to bang the most" - In other words, what bikini started as, which is what figure started as, which is what bb started as...What's next, farmgirl?

Sooo does this mean that bikini division girls who presently are bigger than the requirements of that division will get scrutinized less now, as athletes like Valeria kord are deemed as too big for bikini

If anyone can become a IFBB Pro with all of these divisions, does it even mean anything? I feel like this is a way to sell more tickets to friends and family more than anything else. It’s probably going to end up squeezing one of the more muscular divisions (probably fitness) out of show schedules, especially if they end up getting as many girls that bikini has in most shows.

This sounds like an effort to bring in the more popular social media types, with the big, fake asses and not much muscle. They wouldn't start a new division unless they felt like it could help generate more revenue. Plus it would give them more exposure via these women on their profiles. I have nothing against them, although it's going to be cringe when they start posting things like "OMG you guys... I'm a bodybuilder now!"

Bodybuilding women got too big, so they created Physique. Judges didn't enforce the size rules. Physique women got too big, so they created Figure. Judges didn't enforce the size rules. Figure women got too big, so they created Bikini. Judges didn't enforce the size rules. Bikini women got too big, so they created Wellness. Judges didn't enforce the size rules. Wellness women got too big, so they created Fit Model. Hmmm. I wonder what is going to happen.

These shows go on FOREVER as it is. Now another class will make the shows even longer.

I've been to competitions where the same woman won Bodybuilding, Physique, and Figure. The judges need to enforce their own guidelines. This class is not necessary.

figure and physique girls have gotten massive last couple years. physique looks like lightweight bodybuilding. Juliana Malacarne wouldnt crack the top 10 by todays standards. neither would Nicole Wilkins in figure.

Man, my Facebook feed blew UP today with people talking about this. The amount of vitriol and shade is reminiscent of the days when NPC Bikini was first announced. Dayum.

As a lover of commerce, chaos, and beautiful women, I'm here for it. I expect the new division to be wildly successful and do numbers right out of the gate. I could be wrong, but what I see is another extension of earning opportunities for everyone in the industry.

That's the good part of it, imho. Any woman that wants to give the stage a try would be less intimidated and given an easier start - Bikinis these days are not huge, but ripped to the bone, and sometimes they sport quite the set of delts. Just think of how many enthusiasts have been blown away in their first competitions due to not being able to achieve the "Bikini" looks on their first try.

If I recall right, the order was: first, Bodybuilders got too big, so Fitness was created - with smaller physiques, no flexing, acrobatics and even a dress round.

Then, many Fitness got too big and didn't know how to perform acrobatics due to not having gmynastics background, so Figure was created, with just a Quarter Turns round. Monica Brant is one example.

Then (guess what) Figures got too muscular and Physique was created, with their own set of "feminine" flexes - the poster girls for this transition are Danielle Reardon and Lindsey Cope. One remained, the other didn't.

Due to Figure getting too big, Bikini was created to accomodate for Fitness without acrobatics.

Then, many Bodybuilders who couldn't cut it stepped down into Physique without losing size, causing Physique criteria to allow (even) bigger women, and some competitors to return to Figure. Autumn Edwards was one of them.

This influx of former Physiques into Figure made the division fit for even bigger women, with current Figure competitors built like 90s fbbs.

Meanwhile, Fitness doesn't care for size or definition any more, as long as they perform acrobatics....and Bikinis are in some cases, like I wrote before, quite the muscle show.

Bodyfitness and Wellness...they are transition divisions between Figure / Physique and Figure / Bikini, contributing more to all the greying up of the divisions.

Isn't there already a Fitness division?

And many of the Physique women are big enough to be bodybuilders.

Lets say we just go back to Bodybuilding, and one fitness division.

I think this bikini girl is an example of why they created the new division, I mean almost nobody could look like this, and she is bikini. Anyway, I think it is good b/c now the bikini girls like this won't have to hold back.

Nah. More divisions equals more women with the goal of striving for their perfect physique. I'm not saying to keep adding indefinitely, but IMO, the new division is well within the range of reasonable things.

Except she does not even abide by the official NPC Bikini Guidelines:

https://npcnewsonline.com/bikini-rules/

It clearly states no graininess and no muscle separation.

And as I said before, that’s the REAL problem. The judges do not enforce their own rules, forcing the women to keep getting bigger in each class. It several years, the women in this new class will be bigger because the judges do not enforce the rules.

The new class is nothing more than a cash grab by the NPC.

Yea you are not wrong, but I just think the current bikini look is more impressive so I'm personally happy about it.

This is pretty stupid.....everybody gets a pro card now......I thought wellness was the dumbest idea with all the exaggerated hand movements, hair flips and hooker walking. Now let's just create divisions and dilute the product even more. SMH

Well damn. You might as well call it the toothpick division. Is this even worthy of being apart of a BB competition anymore?
