What Does It Mean When Bodybuilders Say “Conditioning”?

Like how do you tell?

Is when someone manages to get their cycle of roids/peds 100% correct so they arrive at a pre-planned time with a minimal amount of body fat and water in their bodies whilst maintaining dense full muscles.

It occurs to me that the word has a subliminal cue attached to it in order to nudge you towards thinking this is a good thing and you become "conditioned" to the idea that being dangerously dehydrated and depleted is okay in this context.

It's quite telling that a division that doesn't pursue ludicrous levels of "conditioning" would call itself "wellness" isn't it?

I don’t think that’s completely right, natural bodybuilders say this too.

conditioning = definition of the muscle, how ripped they are, natural or not

It's the amount of detail you can see in the muscles (veins and striations).

"Poor" conditioning vs. Good conditioning

Oh ok. So just from my stuff, would this be good conditioning:

Conditioning refers to muscular development. It applies to all types of Bodybuilding - natural or not.

Over time, conditioning improves muscular development provided your training is consistent and incorporates progressive overload.

This is the main reason why short term gains cannot compare to long term results as over time you end up having a more aesthetic look as a result of years of training. Peds do exacerbate this process, however.

Conditioning does refer to the appearance of the fuller muscles with well defined striations.

To me, yeah. Her back is a teeny bit soft, but her arms are killer.

It's better to judge when they're on stage, though. One, because of the lights. Two, because it's about how they look compared to the other girls.

"Poor" conditioning vs. Good conditioning geometry dash lite

As I know, conditioning refers to fine-tuning the physique and generally involves body fat levels, how dry (dehydrated) you are and glycogen stores in muscles. Anything to do with increasing muscle definition.
