Schmoes are less likely to be progressive. It’s pretty easy to see a lot of schmoes are the incel type guys who complain about an attack on masculinity but would hand over their life savings to half the women on here

Conservative ideology is to look at one's self and realise that to win or succeed is one's own responsibility and that an individual's hard work is key to success. Progressive or Liberal ideology is that everyone else to blame for that individual's shortcomings or failure, their race, their gender or lack of privilege which is obviously a far lazier outlook. That's a polite way of saying that "Progressive" people are more likely to be lazy and lack dedication which obviously isn't going to help build a good body. This is of course a generalization and not the case for all but like it or not it's true.
In my experience, the women in the industry who are open about their politics are overwhelmingly more likely to be conservative, but the overall divide aligns relatively closely with general demographic trends.
I'd add that you're likely to see Libertarians overrepresented in the industry, but a lot of people don't realize there's both Left and Right Libertarianism and it's not simply another word for conservative.

I think it's because some conservatives are against women doing sports and diverting from gender roles. like a while ago this British idiot made a video were he thought liking women with abs is degenerate and will lead to the collapse of civilization. and while they complain about women being too picky while choosing a husband. they indirectly encourage women to be more elitist and toxic. like they say women need a strong rich man so that they don't have to work. but while most women want that some may have a fetish and want to go for more submissive men or weaker men. but they may end up surpressing that desire.
I am not sure why so many fbbs are conservative. I guess it's because they are so strong and hardworking they don't think they will ever need welfare even if they don't agree with the social attitudes. a lot of people are jumping on political bandwagons now
I don’t really view myself as a “conservative”, but I am attracted to virtue attainment and eudaimonic principles. Strength itself is a virtue, so to see a woman choose to make her body more powerful is a massive turn on to me. What a lot of people call “conservative” nowadays would have been considered center-left just a decade ago
I'm heavy into the scene, both in bodybuilding (I'm now an amateur competitor) and in female muscle fetish (I'm a schmoe and onlyfans/session customer).
I'm going to say that schmoes are as politically diverse as guys in general. The attraction to strong women and the desire to be submissive to them doesn't necessarily relate to supporting feminism. There's plenty of guys who will pay to lick a woman's biceps and call her goddess in session, but then feel that she should be a tradwife without voting rights outside of it. I think that we truly come in all flavors.
The bodybuilding and fitness world definitely skews conservative. The demographics track with Donald Trump and his appeal. You have a lot of young guys, they are often blue collar and working class, perceived masculinity is a selling point. Without getting too deep into it.. Bodybuilding is conservative for the same reasons UFC is conservative. Take that as you will.
Bodybuilding is very patriarchal, so often times the women who become prominent are going to fit that mold. Some of them are probably conservative for their own reasons, some of them might play up the political angle to gain visibility and points.
I'll put it this way: a single progressive lesbian with a Kamala tshirt will never get the visibility of a blonde straight girl with 2 kids, a husband with a beard, and Trump merchandise from head to toe. Even if the lesbian has 10x the physique of the straight conservative woman.
The best example of bodybuilding's political leaning is its attitude towards gay men. Let's be real here: there are few things LESS gay than men's bodybuilding. And the fans and competitors know it. There are lots of gay MBB's and even more straight MBB's who are more than happy to be gay for pay. But this is a totally taboo subject, even in 2024. You will rarely see an out and proud pro MBB. You just have a stageful of bulging oiled muscular men in tight briefs slapping each other on the ass and secretly doing sessions in Dubai out there pretending that this lifestyle is really straight and alpha.

I have something to confess ya’ll.. I had no idea so many people still viewed MBBs as heterosexual, because back in the early days of Youtube, every single big name on there was making G4P content.. like there was a HUGE exsposal video making the rounds on social media at the time about the connection between male body building, shame and the cam show industry it totally tainted my view of the MBB world, so much so that I honestly have been ignoring them in favor of female bodybuilders for 10 years now! 😆
I think it was just too much to process for me at the time but now I’m sitting here trying to figure out how the male bodybuilding community has managed to reclaim their heterosexual image after all that transpired.. This is truly something that should be studied, wild stuff.

I’ll refine my comments to say that MBB isn’t gay as much as it’s homoerotic.
Which isn’t new. The original Olympics were homoerotic. There’s nothing fundamentally wrong with guys admiring the bodies of other men. Bodybuilding is all about the aesthetic appreciation of almost totally naked men. There is no sport or pretense outside of that.
The bummer is the shame associated with it. So guys have to overcompensate and any acknowledgment of this fact has to be suppressed.
Go to the Olympia and you’ll see more bro and macho posturing than a gun show.
I have no statistics to prove it, just observations from social media of muscle women and users of this site. It seems that this site does not encourage discussion of politics, but this topic is related to muscle women after all and maybe people will be interested
