Thanks for being on top of this, guys. Loving the new system. Just noticed a few recently that should be merged: "forearms veins" into "forearm veins", and "tights" and "yoga pants" with "leggings". And there are several "chest" tags now - should those just be merged into the equivalent "pec" tags?
There are a few instances corresponding to this theme. Plural versions and singular versions of the same idea.
As much as I like the joke, do we really need tags like bad grammar?
Not really.
As part of the new tags system we will tune the tags, and will make adjustments as necessary. As mods we are trying to address questionable tags or tags that are best merged into others. Some will be obvious, while others need a little more discussion.
The other challenge is that it is not always clear how a tag is best used. Myself, I would rather have tags where they describe something visible in the photo and not open to interpretation. One example for this is “thong” where it was being used on photos where only the front is visible.
We are looking to see how to better with model type tags (nationality, ethnicity, etc), but this is a work in progress.
Not really.

I agree with this. Tags should address attributes objectively visible in the photograph/video. An example of a problematic tag: “nice face.“
I think I understand “huge calves” or “huge biceps” to mean their size relative to the subject’s body, but even then, this is strangely subjective. Maybe some attributes will require a cultural consensus among users and will take some time to normalize. An example of this is the generalized “sleeve”. Now we can have “quads under pants” whereas “sleeve” was only and always reserved for arms.
Many tags are word form variants. For example, “smile” and “smiling.” I suggest consolidating into the most basic form of the noun (in this case, “smile”).

I would use Huge Calves for images where the calves are prominently big, wide, and the focus, compared to if they just happen to be in an image.
I would prefer to keep the use of muscle groups and body parts as uniform as possible. The old set of tags had a dozen of those, let's try to stick to those, unless the results are wrong or ridiculous. So when combining words, always use 'veins', not 'vein'. Use 'delts/shoulders' not 'delt' or 'shoulders'. So here are some suggestions - and please keep in mind English is my second language, so I'm not sure if everything will sound good to a native speaker.
ab separation ➡️ abs separation
abdominal pose ➡️ abs pose
abs & thigh pose ➡️ abs & quads pose
thick thighs ➡️ thick quads
thigh gap ➡️ quads gap
thigh veins ➡️ quads veins
lower ab veins ➡️ lower abs veins
pec veins ➡️ pecs veins
delt/shoulder veins ➡️ delts/shoulders veins
ass veins ➡️ glutes veins
shoulder veins ➡️ delts/shoulders veins
calf veins ➡️ calves veins
hamstring veins ➡️ hamstrings veins
forearm veins ➡️ forearms veins
quad veins ➡️ quads veins
bicep veins ➡️ biceps veins
arm veins ➡️ biceps veins ?
pumpkin delts ➡️ pumpkin delts/shoulders
rear delts ➡️ read delts/shoulders
capped shoulders ➡️ capped delts/shoulders
quad flex ➡️ quads flex
quad shake ➡️ quads shake
quad control ➡️ quads control
quad hang ➡️ quads hang
glute clenching ➡️ glutes clenching
glute flex ➡️ glutes flex
glute bounce ➡️ glutes bounce
glute ham tie-in ➡️ glutes hamstrings tie-in
pec bouncing ➡️ pecs bouncing
pec cleavage ➡️ pecs cleavage
pectoral split ➡️ pecs split
calf hang ➡️ calves hang
calf smoosh ➡️ calves smoosh
toe-to-shin calf flex ➡️ toe-to-shin calves flex
double calf ➡️ double calves
calf bounce ➡️ calves bounce
calf reveal ➡️ calves reveal
tricep pull ➡️ triceps pull
side tricep pose ➡️ side triceps pose
trap flex ➡️ traps flex
Also, pose, poses and posing should be used consistenly. So I would suggest
pose ➡️ posing
mandatory poses ➡️ mandatory pose
triceps posing ➡️ triceps pose
The same for (biceps/glute/calf) bounce and (pec) bouncing. I don't mind which one, but pick one of those and stick to that one.

I have been tagging known tall people (5'10"+) as 'tall', even if it's not necessarily visible in the photo.
Suggest consolidating:
"feat of strength" into a single "strength" tag
"flexible" into a single "flexibility" tag
I merged "flexible".
The "strength" tag only had a few images, but there was no consistency in its use so I went through each one and retagged or deleted where appropriate. Some were merely videos of women doing pullups. While yes you have to be fairly strong to do pullups, with that logic an overwhelming majority of the women on this site would be eligible for the "strength" tag (as it was being used). Usage like that is what destroys the value of a tag.

I merged "forearms veins".
"tights" was another one that had no consistency in its use. Some of the images weren't of women wearing leggings, but stockings. So I changed those one by one and merged the rest. I fully merged "yoga pants" into "leggings".
"chest" was deleted since... everyone in the world has a chest. That's like making a tag called "skin".
Would anyone have any objection to me merging the biceps bounce and twist n pop tags into just "biceps control"? I feel like there's a lot of overlap between clips involving quick flexing, biceps tensing from static poses, and forearm twisting, to get basically the same effect.

I agree "twist n' pop" is a form of biceps control, as is the "biceps bounce." I think the folks who are really into that stuff might see them as specific enough movements that the tags should be different. I've seen this same issue to a larger degree with:
"Piercing." I think "piercing" should be the lowest-level description, whether navel, eyebrow, etc. Querying "piercing" combined with "abs" should yield the desired results.
Also "feet." I think "bare feet" is a bit redundant. Yes, you can see some feet with certain open shoes. However, there is a tag for "sandals." But again, there are folks who view these things very specifically.
Given some of the duplication, “bare feet” has replaced feet. It does mean that there are now sandals and heels in the mix (needing to have tags adjusted), but honestly having feet and sandals just seems too much focus on one part of the body. Especially when we have a 10 tag limit.
I have also observed tagging where the tag item is either not clearly visible (only seeing front side of bikini, while having a thong tag or foot is cut off the edge of the photo) or the perspective leads to potential mis-interpretation.
I'm partial to, and have put some work into kickstarting, the flag bikini tag, although I agree all the specific colors might be a bit much.
Or maybe not, if we eventually get some sort of hierarchial tag system working, so that "red bikini" automatically apples the general "bikini" tag in some way. I do like white bikinis even if I haven't been tagging that, and I can imagine some people might want to be able to look up other colors the same way.
On a separate note, I don't see much reason not to merge the costume and cosplay tags into a single "costume/cosplay" one. Technically "cosplay" could be for specific existing characters and "costume" could be more general, like a generic female warrior or nurse costume, but in practice there's a bunch of overlap in how they're being used, especially in cases where people may not know the character involved. There are also character-specific tags like "wonder woman cosplay" than can be added when needed.

Agree 100%

Yes, as in "chest," everyone has feet.
In this case, "bare feet" probably needs to be consolidated with "barefoot."
The mods on this site are able to merge redundant tags together. This is the thread to bring tags to our attention that you feel like need to be merged. Suggested merges should be of tags that are very similar, if not identical to each each other. For example, "shredded" and "ripped" have been merged.
Also keep in mind that some tags that are similar can also have very specific differences, such as "double biceps flex" and "back double biceps flex". In this case, we'll probably need to change "double biceps flex" to "front double biceps flex" and fix the tags on an image per image basis accordingly. The other option would be to delete "double biceps flex" and start "front double biceps flex" from scratch (this is a last resort).
Being that these are considered suggestions, please do not expect them to all be acted on. We will consider each of them, however.
