There was an increase in morality in 2023. With some athletes, the combination of PEDs and unforeseen side effects of the COVID-19 vaccines could have caused health complications. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uOxhYyfYw4

I suggest you stop getting your news from crackpots.

The increased mortalities was probably due to Covid itself since it causes long term damage to your repository system. At this point most people have gotten Covid.

> Edit: Also, the fact that FOUR bodybuilders that were on his show within the past eight months have died, all younger than 40, was pretty sobering.

That's crazy

almost five if you count Katie Lee's health scare

Who's going to tell him?

A couple or so times a year or maybe every couple of years, someone comes along and tries to dunk on the male fans of female bodybuilding. We're still here, because we mostly don't bother anyone else.

I watched and listened to this video. I hate to be that guy, but I'ma be that guy: with ALL due respect, in this video, he does not present as someone who could competently teach others "how to talk to women".

With regards to looks, general tackiness aside, how can he claim the "bar is low" when ANDREA SHAW is the world's #1? And it goes without saying that some of the most attractive women in the sport have strong jawlines.

Now, I don't understand him insulting his guests and their friends, but at the end of the day, it's THEIR sport, not his. What exactly is the setting for this "conversation we need to have"? Fans literally have no say beyond what we will or will not watch/look at/pay for. That's it.

Does this video mean he's done with OnlyFans? Because Pepperidge Farms remembers....

All that said, he should probably delete this video. I wish him the best.

Yeah, dude lost me. He ought to have written his rant down in a journal before posting in on Youtube for the whole world to see.

HOO BOY i have notes:

1) I have been a proponent for a little while now of dialing back the conditioning--the extreme diet and rebound and specifically things like diuretics during this time is a lot of stress on the body and, IMO, they look much better at around the 5-6 week mark. i know this won't change, but idk, maybe the focus on wellness may have an effect

2) i don't buy the sucker argment--not saying what he is reporting isn't true, but if someone is spending money on it, they place personal value on it: an item, an experience, whatever. Sure, buying a figurine is very different from buying a session, but we've all seen some of the stuff people spend their money on or choose to promote: if that's the argument, we're all suckers in some way. bodybuilding is an expensive endeavour, both time and money, and a lot of bodybuilders don't have the advantage of wealthy parents (when younger) or spousal support. I would say very few have well paying jobs (read: corporate careers) that afford them the funds and the time to go after it. Many own gyms or coach for a living but that takes time to build--which is why we see many of them jumping on the sex-worker train early on before the side work they're putting in comes to fruition. so if we throw a bit of money their way that helps with their short term goals and they dont' mind an exchange, it's an agreement between two consenting adults and i have no issue with it.

3) Related to the above and responding to another comment--yeah some of them do probably send or offer freebies to regulars. That happens to me occasionally when buying videos (maybe i'll get a pic sent my way unprompted), but not often. I know usually when to cut myself off but for guys that are spending crazy amounts of money and are dicks about it the money is probably good enough.

4) i have met more than a few fbbs in person who i bought from prior to meeting them (casually at expos or whatever, in one or two cases a workout) and they all have said that they were generally surprised that I was pretty normal to talk to IRL, even though I'm very enthusiastic about bodybuilding when talking with them. im sure they get tons of terrible interactions with guys who do and don't know who they are

Regarding steroids and deaths. It's been said before, truly great genetics, are the one's that allow you to abuse roids and not die.

hey guys Ryan here and I knew I would have to check on this site after last night and boy you guys did not disappoint but here's a few things: 1. Onlyfans was a mistake that I will own up to everytime I was a broke college grad who wanted to make some money on the side and started it during the pandemic when money was tight with the permission of everyone who contributed and haven't uploaded to that account in like 2 years I am pretty sure I deleted it like a year ago but ill double check

  1. If I came across as preachy that was not intended I am no better than anyone and never will be I was just using a platform to talk about issues that many competitors are too afraid to talk about and the reasons for that are endless.

  2. If your are offended by anything I said about the schmoes (not every schmoe) that ruin it for people who just admire the sport then you are the problem and I hope you get the help you need

  3. if every Olympia competitor from all the classes got their bloodwork drawn 95% would have bloodwork that a computer would say was drawn from a man and yes thats a problem I seriously think that if the VAST majority of people on here went backstage and saw the wigs removed the makeup taken off and everything else you would reconsider this attraction but I know some like it AND THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT

5.THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING A SCHMOE WHATS WRONG IS IF YOU USE THIS ATTRACTION TO HARASS, ABUSE, TAUNT OR WEIRD OUT COMPETITORS

  1. When I am talking about competitors that don't care about you and use you for money I am shocked that most of you have not known this for awhile........over 50 guests who I have had off record conversations about sessions and other things all don't like it and think the VAST majority of clients are suckers and I am not saying this to insult you I am saying it to be honest which is something these competitors should be with you but as long as you give them money they will smile and play along like a lot of things I life.

7.if it was my intention to sexualize my guests I have done a horrible job..... with how much trust a lot of the guests have in me I could've run a porn empire and earned millions

  1. I was into bodybuilding in college and was on my way to competing before I developed some health problems due to my obsession with overtraining (only substance I ever took was Flintstone gummies)

  2. The point of the posts was if I could convince one person to stop slowly killing themselves which hundreds are then thats a win and I get this is part of the sport but it doesn't need to be there can be a way that doesn't involve as much death lastly......THE REASON THAT MOST DONT SPEAK UP IS BECAUSE THEY COME FROM A PAST OF DISORDERS OR ABUSE THAT MAKE IT HARD FOR ALOT OF THEM TO STAND UP FOR THEMSELVES AND THEY ARE AFRAID OF ROCKING THE BOAT....THEY DONT ENJOY WHERE THIS IS GOING AND SINCE IVE POSTED THE VIDEOS IVE GOTTEN 33 COMPETITORS SAYING THANKS FOR SAYING WHAT I WANTED TO SAY BUT HAVENT AND HONESTLY THAT MEANS MORE THAN ANYBODIES OPINION ON HERE

Bless you all and I hope everyone on here has a long live full of happiness and joy

Also Fuck the bad schmoes

What is a "schmoe"?

Regarding the bodybuilding competitions, are there some where the girls actually compete in "off season" looks? I guess there might be some like "miss " ?

I feel like hes projecting a lot when hes talking about schmoes. The only reason a person would have FEMALE bodybuilders on as guests is if they had some sort of sexual interest in them and i can tell you mr ryan johnson did not call them on because he was "inspired by their hardwork and dedication". If you had male bodybuilders on you could have much more views. if he was truly interested in bodybuilding and fitness he would have many more male guests on. the rest of the video i agree with tho lol.

I feel like this whole video was made because he got teased for being a schmoe by strangers, he is straight up FUMING in that schmoe section calling schmoes losers and no lifers lmfaooo its so funny

THIS. Firstly, it would be beneficial for the competitors' health and well-being. Secondly, the main reason why female bodybuilding is so off-putting to the general public is the ghastly facial features presented on stage, resulting in unhealthy levels of bodyfat combined with excessive testosterone. Sure, this is always going to be a niche sport, but it surely would help to reach to maybe a slightly broader audience if the ladies had slightly healthier amount of fat tissue on them.

Well the ms. olympia has been running again for 4 years. Maybe it is time again to call it quits. Nothing has changed and all the rest of the topics are what have been plaguing the industry since it started in the 80s. It is what it is and I have no idea how people are expecting it to go other direction all of a sudden.

Damn Ryan. At first I was mostly in agreement with you, but that response makes you come across as weirdly defensive and feels like a whole lot of projection (also, thank you fp for formatting it because James Joyce you are not with your block of text)

You're hardly the first person to touch on all the deaths that have been plaguing bodybuilding and fitness in the past few years. I have heard commentary from coaches, analysts and former competitors, some of whom are suffering health problems themselves, talking about the dangers of PED use in the sport. It's nice to see that that has affected you as a fan, but something tells me that there was more to it when you decided to make that video given your tone and your additional commentary on "schmoes" and "femininity."

Again, I almost fully agree with you about schmoes being creepers towards women. I myself know quite a few fit and muscular women from my experience in CrossFit and Olympic Lifting, and they have told me that they have all had weird DMs from dudes asking to beat them up, if they could lift them, etc. I also know that they are not hard to talk to given that the bar is on the floor, where if you talk to them about anything OTHER than fetish topics, you are doing better than the majority of guys who try to approach them.

Same with the session thing. I do sessions with bodybuilders and wrestlers/fighters, and I am under no illusion that they are only rolling with me because I am paying them and not for my good looks or witty charm (mild sarcasam there.) I'm sure that the men they are referring to as "suckers" are those who think that by sessioning with them or camming with session providers that they actually like them on a personal level and have a personal relationship with them (it kind of reminds me of that dude who was weirdly defensive towards Nathalie Foreau by saying that she was natural because he is a "close friend" of hers and that she told him that and that his "friend" would never lie. I pay for sessions because I want to roll around with a physically strong woman, and that's what I get. I have never felt ripped off.

And a lot of the other posters above me (especially Tre) made great points against your complaint about the "lack of femininity" in bodybuilding. Honestly Ryan, this was the point of your video when you sounded the MOST like the very schmoes you were complaining about. I have seen the type of men you are complaining about doing exactly what you just did by telling them they are not feminine, that they look like men, blah blah blah. Fact is, if you were to take the test levels of not just bodybuilders, but figure and hell, even bikini competitors, they would more than likely have higher levels than the majority of men. That is just the reality of bodybuilding and fitness competitions for women.

Again, I was with you for most of your arguments, but you really need to work on how you present yourself. Even if you are correct on everything, going around screaming and constantly saying "oh I'm gonna get canceled" (which by the way people who do that are annoying and baity: instead of leading up with that, just say what you want to say and let people decide for themselves,) isn't going to win you much support.

The only way to dial back on steroid abuse and extreme conditioning is for show promoters and judges to stop rewarding this type of physique. Seems like now if your glutes are not striated with 2% bodyfat your conditioning is off. If it wins you shows, that’s what the girls will strive for. We need to go back to late 80’s early 90’s physiques.

Everything he said was accurate, especially in regard to the number of people who think they're "friends" with these FBBs. Getting a few responses back on Insta doesn't make you friends. It's kind of sad, but what does it really matter? It sounds like he's new to the internet because aside from steroid usage/lack of femininity, nothing he mentioned is exclusive to the world of FBB.

Bruh lmao he literally has an account here

Unless he stops including any kind of additional posing on his YT I won’t believe it. I’ve been editing for HDP for a couple years now and even I don’t keep the raw files once I’m done
