Also correct. I wasn’t expecting Philip Roth-quality writing when I bought it, but holy shit it was bad.

I couldn’t put it down when I first read it, but it leaves you feeling empty and hollow, it’s a very disturbing book.

I’m reading it right now. Pretty accurate for being written in 2001.

Can you be more specific as to why you think the book is so dreadful?

I am a strong reader and joined Goodreads (the most popular social network about books) couple of years ago. I just checked book reviews for Chemical Pinks, and, as usual, you can find a lot of different opinions. Including people telling they enjoyed this book

Writing quality, plotting, characterization, believability…just a hack writer trying to sensationalize the bodybuilding subculture and getting everything wrong. A true embarrassment.
