Just to confirm it...a (non-sourced) claim. Not surprising, you know, since the "eeew, muscles on a woman" belief is still strong.
You'd think they would have learned from Encanto.
I obviously wish that they would have buffed her up, but the show looks good otherwise.
Me trying to see her bicep.
Legit LMAO at that!!
Such a heartbreaker. As my username imples, She Hulk captured my heart at a young age due to her powerful muscles and consistently bare feet. What an amazing character - and it sucks that this won't be reflected.
Disney doesn't want She Hulk to be feminine masculine because their going down a woke ideology narrative that they think will sell. She Hulk was much more muscular in the comics to match up in a way to her more muscular cousin. But this is Disney so it will appease the woke immature masses that are willing to pay for the incredibly stupid skinny look of She Hulk that will be featured in the Disney Plus series. If Disney wasn't so politically correct we would have gotten a more muscular She Hulk that hopefully the CGI artists would consider looking at female bodybuilders to get inspiration from. And the CGI for She Hulk currently sucks to high heaven.
Oh well... at least here it looks like she has a tinyyy little bicep bump and it's not CGI XD
where?

Of course she has biceps -otherwise she wouldn't have been able to bend her arm at the elbow XD. Oh, you meant..?

This makes zero sense. The "woke" approach would be to allow the character to be as masculine and/or muscular as the story called for, like Encanto, without worrying about changing things to more closely adhere to societal norms of what is considered attractive or marketable. Or did you think that "woke" means "anything outside your personal preference"?
You beat me to it @okengine5309... I was thinking the exact same thing!

Yea i was worried that with the woke culture they would turn her into some crazy deviant art style blob that is so muscular she should not be able to even move and also bald and with a big chin but looks like the opposite happened.
I think even if they made this movie in the 90s she would be more muscular i think this is because of Chinese and Arabian investors.
where?
You'll have to borrow cgsweat's magnifying glass :)

haha yeah I know, that's why I said "tinyyy little bicep bump" :) Important part being the bump at the end of those words. I've seen a ton of women without even that :O

LOL you nailed it. I think that "Woke" and "CRT" are just catch-all phrases for things they don't like nor understand

That's just gaslighting. Both sides know exactly what they mean.
Hopping on a steroid cycle isn't really an option for an actress who wants to continue working as one
I don't think an actress has use (or over-use) steroids to show more muscularity than the girl who was cast for this role.
We all know the famous physique of Jessica Biel in "Blade 3" and all. That's very possible for a lot of younger women to achieve.
But THANK YOU for confirming that Kumail Nanjiani on on gear. Of course he is! So many people on this site live in a fantasy land that steroids are some tiny niche drug that barely anyone uses, and people are getting insanely ripped (and staying insanely ripped) just due to all the HIIT and grilled chicken breast.

Excellent point. Globalization destroys everything from constitutional republics to comic book movies.

Another take on the "Woke Approach" could be a short-regular sized SH with a...distinctive purple hairdo and a tendency to make long, "oh-so-funny-and-deep" speeches. Considering what the industry is sometimes selling as "attractive" these days...

A She-Hulk who looks and acts like Mariko Tamaki... eye twitch
