I've seen it more than once that some people will change names on pictures for the worse. Like replacing a full name with abrevations or with all lowercase letters, or all caps. If you are not improving it why are you touching it?
As the saying goes if it ain't broke don't try to fix it.
It would be good if there was some feature when a model is positively identified to prevent further alterations of the name by regular users. But if the culprit is a mod, well then I don't know what to say.
Also some models are identified by their full given name, others by their ig handle, and still others by some weird combination of random snippets. There should be some standard on which gets priority over the other.
