That's actually true, I never really thought about it. Looking at the Olympia lineup, you have the youngest being in their early 30's, and a lot of them are well into their 40's or 50's. I guess it shows that bodybuilding is a sport that rewards time, and some enhancing, but also time.
The woman that started this thread. I hope we see Maria make a push for the Olympia this year. It seemed like she was so close and maybe had a chance if she competed at one or two more shows.
She's had so much work done to her face, I wouldn't have even recognized her. There's no way to look young through surgery. You just end up looking strange. Or maybe there is but some just take it too far. I guess it goes with the territory. Being that muscular, and doing what you have to do to get there, is a form of extreme body modification.
There used to be a woman on Bodyspace back in the day who went by the name "chicken tuna." She was already in her 40's at the time and had great abs. Never found out what happened to her or what her real name was. She was probably posted to this site at some point in the past.
