Report of problem

Hello,

first, I'm sorry but I'm french and my english is not very good...

So, I want to report a "big" problem and I think it's here... When you change a tag (for exemple) in Image Options of a picture and you don't rewriting the name in the formulaire you delete the name if it was informed... It's really shame... :-[

2 solutions:
- don't replace if the formulaire is empty
- prefill the formulaire with the name

It should already fill the "In this image: (Name(s))" field with the person's name if one has been entered for the image. Thus when you change the tag but don't touch the name, no change occurs.

Can you give an example of a pic where this isn't the case?

Pauldu67 may be on to something. While I haven't this this happen myself, I have seen a fair number of cases where the "In This Image" names have disappeared. A few others have commented on this as well, but none of us knew whether it was a bug, or just some bozo wiping the name out. If I see anything specific, I'll let to know, Chainer. Take care.

I actually got this a while ago too.

Actually I was wrong about having fixed it before. But NOW I think I've fixed it. Let me know if you see the problem still.

edit: Well, because of the whole caching system, you're still going to see pages that are wrong, but they should correct themselves if someone rates the image or comments on it. But anyway this shouldn't be happening to new pictures that are given a name.

First I added the name "Lauren Quinn". Then I tagged it as "biceps". No problem, at least this time.
No problem = good.  :)

Lauren Quinn's name has disappeared from the 'in this image' field, though it's still there under the pic. If someone wants to modify the tag (to add 'delts', for example) without copying her name into the now-blank field, the name will vanish altogether. If it IS copied in again, however, it will stay.

Yeah, that is (or was) the problem. It looks like the "in this image" entry box would get blanked, even though the field under the image showed a name. Then, if someone updated the tag, or whatever, the name would also get blanked. I just tried it with the previously mentioned image of Lauren Quinn. The name was there, but the entry box was empty. I changed the tag and the name was gone. I think this is fixed now, since newer images seem to show the text in the entry box once again. It may still be a problem with some of the images posted over the last couple of months, though. We'll just have to watch and re-enter the names.
