Would that be possible? Some sort of cookie keeping track of what images have been posted since your last visit etc. Alot of galleries do it, so it shouldn't be impossible.
Yes, it should be possible to keep track of all the images that you haven't yet viewed (though I would most likely do it with a database, not a cookie). I don't really see the point, though-- can't you just start from the first page of the image gallery and browse backwards through the pages until you start recognizing the images?
It shouldn't be hard to implement, however, so I might add it as an option under "Account Settings" if I have time. I'll post here if I do.
Would it be alot of work to place a button/link somewhere (maybe in the account settings) to "mark all pics as seen"? Since I don't check out every single pic I'd like to clear the new-indicators at a certain point. You know... a similar functionality as implemented in usenet/rss-readers or email clients.
But take it easy... it's just a tiny cosmetic thing :)
