Just saw the movie in an early screening. I really like A24 films and bodybuilding, so watching it was a no brainer. It is a good movie with some very sexy scenes all throughout and some people will enjoy the ending as it scratches a specific adjacent itch (I’ll be ambiguous as I don’t want to spoil anything). However, if you are expecting a very bodybuilding focused movie, I’m sorry to disappoint you but it isn’t. It’s a good and entertaining thriller that just happens to have a FBB that wants to compete in a show as a protagonist.
I’ll give it a 4/5 as a movie
This is about what I was expecting, wasn’t necessarily anticipating any theatrical released film to play like an FMG novel or comic, which is why the tease of those surrealist growth scenes in the trailers was incredibly surprising to me. Still excited; I think Rose Glass has a good cinematic sensibility.

Yea I also had high school teachers with huge calves despite the rest of their body being not very strong. it was torture sometimes when she wore skirts or shorts it was like the old movie basic instinct. I guess it must be genetics even. I have decent calves compared to the rest of my weak body.
Unreal Muscle! Forum Saradas as well as the website still contains a lot of information. But, Unreal Muscle had a forum exactly similar to this where going through forums and threads led to positive, light-mental information with people sharing casual information. The website had decent moderation and treasure trove of information which normally one could not get.
As someone who was looking for presence of female bodybuilders or muscular women in general in the general songs, movies and TV, I was able to collect a lot of information from the website. LOL, can't recall the movies and sons I might have searched and seen just for the sight of an FBB for a few seconds.
Jayne Trcka aka Kasie Kavanaugh (who I once met) was in Scary Movie (2000) the slasher killer film parody,
but the character she plays is the butt of a very gross unfunny joke playing on her supposed "manliness",
She's also in Lady Gaga's Telephone music video.
Jessica Biel in a (terrible) movie called “London.” I recall two scenes where her amazing physique is featured. One shower scene where her back is ripped and a sex scene with Chris Evan’s where she’s on top and her shoulders and arms look fantastic.
i thought double impact was a good 90s early action movie with Corey everson as a villain .she looked very great while fighting not 1 but 2! jean clade vandammes and dominating until someone showed up with a gun and the 2 vandammes were able to defeat her. but fbbs were never the main character apart from in some really cheesy z tier movies like the nemesis movies the first few tried to be normal but the last one was basically made by shmoes for shmoes and is really soft porn with a story she was nude for most of the movie .the movie was so low budget it looked more like a theatre play than a movie in some scenes . i can't even think of any fbbs in 2000s movies seems like it was only a thing in the 90s and late 80s and again in the last few years .
This is the character that made me fall in love with woman’s muscle. She was hot af in that movie. Her and Cynthia Rothrock, and Rosie Odonnel
A muscular woman punches a guy in the face in a bedroom he lands on the bed from the punch and she has her way with him.
Anyone know this clip or movie know where to find
Thanks
I just saw this, surprised to see Ed Harris in it. He's such a great actor and I think because of that there's going to be a lot more attention coming to the sport because of this. A lot of it won't be great so fasten your seatbelts.
What was up with him at the end though? He’s like on the ground looking up in awe going, “What the fuck?”
Is this a reaction to her hulking out at some point during the movie?

They tried to, to some extent. The only few I can recall is Cynthia Rothrock, who was upposed to be the female Chuck Norris:
I remember her! Tbh I wouldn't even call it an attempt, comparing her to Schwarzenegger would be unfair.
It's crazy how Hollywood still refuses to propose more character and relationship variety.
Action movies? Superjacked dude, tough male cop or martial artist.
Romance? Super strict gender roles, gaze, camera angles, body standards, etc...
Same thing with adventure movies.
And every time there's a female character who looks/behaves outside these tropes she's either a side character, dies or has literally 0 hint of romance.
But things are slowly changing, we're slowly starting to see some variety, I don't see this as a fetish movie tbh, lesbian thriller/romance movie? With good actors and an original script?
I feel like lots of people are going to enjoy it, finally something different, "girl powah" with good plot and romance? Sign me in, we've already got too many John Wicks, Rambos or Thors.
I like bodybuilding and I loved watching movies with Schwarzenegger, Ferrigno, etc... but we never got to see the same with women, they always picked skinny (like, really) women to portray "strong female characters", which doesn't make sense imho.
They tried to, to some extent. The only few I can recall is Cynthia Rothrock, who was supposed to be the female Chuck Norris:
Same with Rachel McLish, Sue Price (oh, those "Nemesis" movies), or Gina Carano in a few "kick / choke everyone around" flicks lately. Goes without saying that none of them excelled in the acting department, but delivered what they had been asked for.
About this one movie...I'm gonna watch it as soon as I can, and I'm more than eager to do it, but let's remember it is a fetish movie...but not for us XD It has plenty of stuff "modern" movies must have:
2 Female protagonists, in a "Girl Powah" mode...in a relationship.
So is this really that bad where some of you can't detach your fantasies in a movie theater? Are you really going to go Pee Wee Herman in there? Lol come on, now

Positive reviews from critics, fans looking forward to this for various reasons...Hell, this movie could F around and win a reward or two come awards season next year, you never know!
I expected certain youtubers that I watch to start a hate campaign against this movie. but seems like they ignore this movie and keep focusing on shitty Disney remakes. but let's not talk about them anymore on this site
I dunno YouTube movie reviewers have been shifting to A24 and other lower budget movies bc blockbuster quality has been so lackluster recently lol. Check out "A24's Most Cucked Movie - Past Lives (2023)" hahaha

Are there head scissors or body scissors in this movie?
Are there many muscle growth scenes?

This video movie is so old that the women's are now granmothers in hospital home!

I hope so
Saw a poster for Love lies bleeding at the movie theater today. Definitely going to see it when it comes out.

Well, yeah, the movie has its woke stuff, but I'm not watching for the plot anyway, so who cares, go buff girl 🗿

Both of them in the "tomboy" department.
And one of them looks mixed race to boot.
So yeah, we're just...collateral beneficiaries.
lmao
