Collecting rare soul music on vinyl, horse racing, the animal world and old comedy movies and comedians. Especially love Laurel and Hardy, Abbott and Costello, the 3 Stooges, Mel Brooks, Jackie Mason. Serial comedies such as The Beverly Hillbillies, Seinfeld, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Morecambe and Wise and many many more. Love to laugh and wish there was more in the world to laugh and smile about. I deplore aggression and the need to dominate and be numero uno. In certain countries coming second, you would be branded a 'loooser'. What a disgusting term and train of thought.
Love all women and could not live without them and wish they ruled more. I'm sure it would be a much better world to live in.
Following cycling, football and motorsport, listening Italian folk singer songwriters (we call them "cantautori"), watching movies, reading both comics and novels (especially, but not only, fantasy, sci-fi and crime fiction) and playing any kind of games (card games, role play games, board games). And most of all traveling.
I've been super huge into movies. I also love reading a lot. Pretty much everything that is. I once took about a month each to read "War and Peace" and The Bible and now I'm a little more than a tenth done with the magna series "One Piece."
Another hobby I picked up over the past year so that I don't stay home at watch movies or read books during all of my recreational time, is to venture out and explore strange locations nearby where I live.
I use this website called "Roadside America" that features hundreds upon hundreds of oddball attractions across the nation. It's so awesome and fun to explore them and it keeps you active and eager to always look forward to something new.
Since I've dedicated myself to these hobbies, I've seen a strong decrease in the amount of time I spend on social media or just scrolling the web, which I really value because I enjoy those three hobbies in-themselves, while the other stuff just burns away time.
I didn’t know anything about muscle fetishes before 1990. In those days, my main exposure to muscular women was Women’s Physique World magazine, the original American Gladiators TV series, the documentary Pumping Iron:The Women, and the very rare glimpse of female muscle on a commercial, TV show, or movie (like Jenette Goldstein in Aliens).
“Bounty Hunters” (2011, theatrical name “Bail Enforcers”) starring Trish Stratus. She's been in some other stuff, too.
“Cleopatra 2525” (two seasons, 2000-2001) starring both Gina Torres and Victoria Pratt.
“Mutant X” (2001-2004), also starring Victoria Pratt.
(I’m listing both, just because 2525 also has Gina, and Pratt’s abs in 2525 are really something else)
“Sucker Punch” (2011) doesn’t have a lot of muscle, per se, but is composed almost exclusively by female leads in an action role. It’s also not a good film, and is kinda a problematic film in terms of the treatment of its subject matter. Legendary Pictures cited this movie's failure as "audiences don't want strong female action heroes" rather than "it's a bad movie," so ...
“Angel of Death” (2009) stars Zoe Bell, who was the stunt double for Lucy Lawless in “Xena,” among other work. It also has Lucy Lawless in a supporting role, so that’s a little ... odd.
I also found "Haywire" (2011) to be a better showcase of Carrano's physique and action sequencing than "In The Blood," and it's a better film (in part because it has less dialogue, and dialogue is not Carrano's strong suit, so to speak), so I'll list that one as well.
Abbie Cornish from Sucker Punch, is fit. I always found her very attractive.

Lusita Leers was a circus performer who dedicated herself to intense training, embodying the role of a strong woman as both her profession and lifestyle. [etc]
Good points. People trotting out Leers as natty-achievable are getting the wrong impression. Grand Hollywood movies would film war scenes that required thousands of extras and elaborate sets. They could theoretically make movies that way today, but they don't. They use CGI to varying degrees. Technology has changed the landscape. Anyone working as hard as possible to build big muscles can build even bigger muscles with the assistance of chemistry. Now add the pressure of competition and social media.
Do you need the names of the Cynthia Rothrock films where she looked muscular?
Only if you want to. I haven't seen her movies so I can only take your word for it.
That goes for anything I put on the list as well. I haven't seen everything so if there is anything on the list that you guys feel doesn't belong, then you're welcome to state your case as to why it shouldn't be there. Up to now I've just been taking everyone's word for it if it's something I haven't seen.
Olga Kurkulina in Kick-Ass 2 2013. Not technically a lead, but she's got some of the best scenes and lines in the movie.
I'd rather just stick with lead roles for this thread. There are many, many movies where a GWM might appear in one scene for just a few seconds, and there's not much of a point to investing time in watching an entire movie just for that. This thread is intended more for movies where the main focus is on the woman, and of course the more muscle she has the better.
I guess it's fine if you guys want to list movies where they have smaller roles, but I won't be adding those to my list in the original post.
Angela Bassett in "What's love got to do with it", was incredible. Although why she got so muscular to play Tina Turner I've no idea. But for a movie that had nothing to do with fitness or anything similar, this must be the stand out.
For Angela that was her role of a lifetime, and probably her best known role to date. I'm leaving "Strange Days" on my list instead because it's more obscure and users can still look up her name and see what else she's been in.
For this list, I feel like lesser known movies will bring more value to it. Users who browse through this thread will likely be looking for movies they haven't seen yet.
Not familiar with the "Nemesis saga," is this a movie franchise?
I guess this is the same thing.
I'm leaving out animated and CGI muscle.
EDIT: Updated the list with another one I remembered, "Lady Bloodfight."
I'm also only choosing 1 movie per actress. Demi Moore was mentioned for both G.I. Jane and Striptease so I just chose G.I. Jane. Angela Bassett was also mentioned for 2 movies so I chose Strange Days.
From what I remember, Lucy Lawless wasn't muscular at all. She wasn't out of shape, but most of the appeal of that role was fantasy-based. Her character was super strong etc, etc. But the actress didn't strike me as anything out of the ordinary. You can argue this if you'd like and I might be convinced with examples where she is actually showing some muscle. I just don't remember her having any.
The Nemesis movies were quite bad, but worth seeing for Sue Price. I think she was nude a lot in Nemesis 4 if I remember correctly.

Another one is Emily Blunt in "Edge of tomorrow".
And Cynthia Rothrock who made a load of films in the 80's & 90's. I think she was world champion at karate or Taekwondo or something.
Brigitte Nielsen in "Red Sonja".
Alexandra Paul in "Getting Physical". Where she played a girl who becomes a bodybuilder.
There's a movie with Jacqueline Fuchs that is going around the festival circuit, but has no release date, at least in the United States. It is called "Body Odyssey". You can find information and a trailer at https://www.intramovies.com/production/body-o....
It's hard to say how well this movie is doing since no one has disclosed the budget, but it feels like it came and went. I'm friends with movie buffs, and they haven't even mentioned it. I seriously thought this movie would make a bigger splash than it did, given how exciting the trailers looked.
Enough (with JLo), GI Jane, Terminator 2, Ravenhawk, Nemesis saga, Million dollar baby
Not familiar with the "Nemesis saga," is this a movie franchise?

The Legend of Korra.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

Xena warrior princess?

Another that comes to mind is the original "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" with Rooney Mara. Her muscles aren't really on display for most of the movie, but in one particular scene she shocked me by how ripped she looked. Her muscles weren't big (especially by this site's standards) but they were very pronounced.
The Daniel Craig version (with Rooney Mara) was a shot for shot remake of the 2009 Swedish original which featured Noomi Rapace.
I'd like to compile a list of movies and shows that feature a muscular woman (not just FBB's) in a lead role. A very recent example would be "Love Lies Bleeding" with Katy O'Brian.

I'll update this post as everyone chimes in and begin creating an actual list.

That'll do it, LOL
I wished there was more character stuff. When I watch it again, all the stuff that freaked me out the first time will probably make me laugh.
The movie was awful. Bizarre. Unwatchable. Extremely disappointing.

Yeah, I see a lot of praise for Katy O’Brian’s acting which I agree with. I saw the movie and thought it was great.
