I be sure lil nerds find a way to write and use cheap trick to keep the filter away but letΒ΄s see how it works and if keep close to 50 % away it is a success i guess
For me the problem is not a funny comment it is sexist , offend , just a stupid YES or just Wow , f..x me , and so on , at other 1 try tread and the comment tread there was more of this listed
I have added a quality filter for newly created image comments. If the comment you are posting falls below the quality threshold, you will get an error message when you click the post button. You can then revise your comment if you want to.
I am deliberately not saying how the quality filter works. Depending on your commenting style, you may run into it almost never, or you may run into it for basically every comment you post.
This is only active for image comments, and not for commenting anywhere else on the site.
If you are trying to post a comment and the filter is stopping you, and you are really convinced the filter is wrong, post here with the content of your comment.
I stand by what I said. It also makes it less likely for them to become degraded over time from getting passed around and recropped and such. I don't know if you're only looking at images on your phone or something (also, if png images take "ages" to load, I have to wonder if you're on dial-up).
Just as an added note, if you're going to edit a photo to crop it, please save the result as a .png. If you resave the edited version as a .jpg instead it'll lose some quality due to lossy recompression.
Also, if you need to cut out parts of a video to shorten it, there are usually ways to do that losslessly, with free programs, but I've already made a post about that.
That's a really bad take. Saving in PNG makes images huge, for negligible benefit in quality. I doubt you could even tell the difference between an edited image if it is saved in PNG or 85+% jpeg in a blind test. You are making 10x bigger images for what basically is a placebo effect.
But now I at least know why are there so many of those annoying pngs on the site, that takes ages to load.

where, when you upload, your pictures first go into a backlog of pictures that someone from the site staff has to manually approve to appear on the site first.

Every 24 hrs, you are granted 2 direct uploads. Bonus uploads are determined upon the popularity of your current uploads (how many upvotes they have received). If you feel like your upload is not suitable for the site and you would later like to replace it with a different upload, then that is your prerogative... every uploader has the option to delete their upload.
Previously we had a feature where if you uploaded an image to the queue (for approval), and it was still in the queue after 5 days, it would get auto-deleted.
This is no longer the case. The image will stay in the queue until one of two things happens:
It is approved to the site by a mod.
You delete it yourself.
(Mods may still delete images from the queue, but we are not guaranteed to do so.)
I am making this change for two reasons:
The hard five-day limit created a situation where images could slip through the cracks if mods didn't check the entire queue on a regular enough schedule.
It created an incentive where you could upload a lot of low-quality uploads and if they didn't get approved, no big deal, they'd get deleted anyway. Now you have to go through the effort to weed them out yourself.

If you mean the list of previous winners, there is a "show previous girls of the week" link on the GotW page.
If you mean the exact count of votes from the previous week, there is no way to do that.
