Not sure if it's related, but currently I'm getting notifications for new images of Melissa Brodsky as "Melissa Brodsky (3frmR)", I'm guessing that's her profile code or something?
i would imagine if i wanted to find pictures of annie mae kelley , that typing in kelley or mae kelley would bring up her name but they dont, any reason why
Just going to bring up something that nobody seems to use.
You can create your own custom search parameters for any website, using your browser address bar.
Obviously, it depends on your browser but as an example. You can type 'gwm Robin' in the field but your user-specific settings only return 'full name results', pictures of 'biceps', and pictures of 'backs'.
I'll add to cgsweat's comment... There are uploaders like tempp who provide the first name. And I use that to find and name pictures when I see them all together with other pics that have full names.
I think most people use only single name search. I do at least.
Does it really happen so often that you search for a single name? That's the only time the "See all" is relevant.
My personal experience with using the filter is I will in fact search by someone's first name and then typically (from the old filter) at least one image (usually several) with the full name I'm looking for will appear on the first page of results. I do this even when I know the full name, because the name I might know her as and the name she is listed as on this site are sometimes two different things. And we run into discrepancies all the time where a model will have uploads under two different names, often using the same first name but a different last name.
Seeing that Kimberley Both is used as an example, I might have been the one who started this. I don't think the new functionality is an improvement. Sure, it makes it a bit easier to find Kimberley Both, but all my other queries may require an extra step because I have to click the 'See all'.
I didn't use the 'exact name search' very often, and I guess I'll use the 'See all' option much more, so searching will take longer.
Like cgsweat said, I recently changed the search behavior. Notable changes are:
No ignored search words (previously some words like "and" and "both" were ignored, which led to weird results, for example, here)
Firstname Middlename Lastname now returns results for Firstname Lastname (and vice versa, which was also true before)
Firstname now returns results for only Firstname, not Firstname Lastname
I just added back a link in the upper left of the results that comes up if you search for a single name, and clicking it expands the search to match partial name matches.
Yes cgsweat is right; the count on the left counts your waitlisted images as still being in the queue; whereas the view on the right does not show the waitlisted images.
I fixed it so the view on the right should now show the waitlisted images (that are still in the queue) as well.
(The behavior that the upload slot is not freed up until the image makes it off the waitlist is intentional.)

You may experience wonky behavior while this post is up.
I will delete this post when it is fixed, hopefully before it is a day old.
Hi there is still a problem
i would imagine if i wanted to find pictures of annie mae kelley , that typing in kelley or mae kelley would bring up her name but they dont, any reason why
cheers
Awesome!!! Thank you!
OK, due to popular demand I have changed it so single name searches are less restrictive at first, and there's an Exact Only link that comes up.

It will take you straight here.

Better still, you can create multiple variations, depending on your needs.
Here's my suggestion regarding the new search options. Basically we have now 2 options. 1. Exact Match Only 2. See all
Now the default is the "Exact match" where you get result for only what you type in search bar. And then you can switch by clicking "see all"
My suggestion is to make the "See all" the default and we can have the exact matches by switching to the other option.

i was going to ask the very same question
Hope its sooner rather than later. Its very inconvenient especially for someone like me who has trouble remembering full names.
Chainer made a change to way way the filter works, and we (mods) already complained to him about it so he's going to change it back (at some point).
When I search for "Leticia" I get pics that have the single word "Leticia".
I was looking for "Leticia (leticia.physique)" and no pics of her showed up.
I am thinking I get only one word named pics because I only typed one word. And I have to type full name to get exact match.
Actually it doesn't show up properly when clicking "Preview", which is a bug. I'll move this to Bug Reports to remind myself about it.
Okay, thank you
Copy and paste the link directly. You do not need any special notation.
how to display pictures in forum with GWM posting link? If we click on the picture, then we will be directed to the post

Chainer will have to confirm, but it might have something to do with the waitlist. Maybe at that time you had 10 in the waitlist.
