I liked how the system pushed me to think a bit more before commenting, hadn't even considered what the downside of it all could be, great job!

Thanks for all the work you put in!

As you may be aware, a while ago I put in place a filter for image comments that tried to automatically block or hide low quality comments.

There has been a lot of discussion about this. After some consideration, here are my current thoughts about it.

What hasn't changed:

I continue to think that there is a class of low-quality, contentless comment that adds no value to the site, where the poster is basically commenting for their own entertainment only, rather than to say something that others might be interested in reading. A hallmark of these sorts of comments is that they are indistinguishable from having been written by a bot, in the sense that I could replace certain commenters on the site with a simple ~10 line script and no one could ever tell the difference. I still want to eliminate these comments as much as possible.

Where I went wrong:

Most low-quality comments are posted by a small subset of users, but instead of dealing with those users directly, I came out with an imprecise tool (the filter) that affected everyone.

When I was designing the filter, I had in mind a few consistently low-quality commenters whose comments I modeled it off of, in the sense that I wanted the filter to target those sorts of comments specifically. This worked in the sense that these people were definitely hit by the filter more often than others, but the filter's false positive and false negative rate were both high enough that quite often at the individual comment level, its behavior made no sense. Often you would have two very similar comments side by side, where one had gotten filtered, but the other had not. Understandably, this led to confusion and frustration, especially by innocent commenters who got hit by a false positive, and had their comment filtered.

What is changing:

I will target the serial low-quality commenters directly, rather than making this everyone else's problem. I will do this by looking at comment trends in aggregate, rather than one comment at a time.

There is no more filtering/hiding of image comments. You do not need to worry about making a one-off low-quality comment, and having it get filtered.

I wish there was an option to privately add people to censored comments.

I only discovered this feature yesterday! Thanks for adding it.

Nice. FemaleMuscle101 never disappoints.

I could have stated all that better. I'll try again. The pinner is notified when the pin expires, along with a count of any additional likes. If the pinner is not the original image uploader, the image uploader never knows of the initial pinning action or the results of the pin, unless they happen to notice an increase in likes for that particular image or see that the image is pinned by the other user.

Example today:

I don't see why the pinner should get notified as they ought to be aware they just did the pinning, but the uploader could be notified.

I have noticed that images uploaded by me are sometimes pinned by another user (and vice versa). Is it too complicated for this to show up in notifications, so that the pinner and the uploader get notified of the pin?

This is awesome

I don’t know if this has been brought up or asked, but when you click on the HB VOD links, could it open a new tab/window to that video?

I know that you can right click on it and open or hold down a key on the keyboard and then left click, but just wondering is all!

I really like this!

This is very convenient and especially simplifies the search for models.

I wish there were some other muscles girls websites advertising. Not sure if others are not willing to pay or it's a sort of exclusivity deal, but I already know HB enough - love their work - but I don't need any extra advertising. It would be great to see what others are doing.

That's pretty cool. I do notice that some of the VOD's on the front page don't show a name link below them.

Like this one doesn't have a link for Jordynne Grace below it, for example. Is that something HerBiceps or you add manually, or is it supposed to be automated?

Even though I reckon this will be removed quickly, I think 430 isn't that bad :)

The site now has a new statistic that keeps track of the first person to have uploaded a picture of each model.

This appears in several places. You can see it in the list of models:

To get this info, it tries to find the image with the earliest upload date that is not deleted (however, merged images do count), and takes the upload time and uploader of that image.

On user profiles, you can now see the number of "new finds" that person has made, which is basically the number of models for whom that user has uploaded the first picture. Look for "New Finds". The number is clickable and takes you to the models list, filtered for only the models where that uploader has the first upload. (Due to how this works, only images with a name attached count.)

Finally, it shows up on the user list, and you can sort by it.

The idea behind this is to encourage and give credit for uploading pics of women who haven't been featured on the site before, and attaching a name to the picture.

This is how you do advertising. stuff that is actually relevant to the content people are watching. I am often tempted by the her biceps ads the one with Nora is too good.

when online i usually get ads for cars and clothes in French .they are supposed to spy on you .but they don't know that i don't even have a driver's license .and i always buy cheap and practical clothing. and i look down on people who spend a lot of money on clothes .or when you watch a YouTube about videos games. and they get sponsored by over priced wallets or ball shaving cream.

Yeah there is something up with some of the recent VODs. I am trying to clarify with them what it may be.
