Notifications should go away except for forums or comments.
The image updates for subscribers should just be another section on the home page, filtered by those we subscribe to. Better for quickly scanning as opposed to what it was (having to navigate to each updated page) or even where it is now (better but still requires navigating to notification page and the display is kind of choppy).
EDIT: I know this is a lot of work so thank you!! My feedback is otherwise thankless but I want to clarify that I know it’s a ton to manage/update everything to make it run as smoothly as it does.
It's possible I forgot about something, but I haven't changed the search code in the past few days. I went through my recent changes and the most recent time I can see that I changed how the search works was on Nov 10 when I added the "subscribed by" field.
As a part of the recent work on notifications I did, I had to delete all the old style image notifications (that didn't have a thumbnail attached). This was a one time thing though. There is no limit to the notifications you can get, and if you notice a specific instance of you not getting a notification for a model you are subscribed to, that is a bug and please let me know.
I see. The moment I read your announcement about the changes, I suspected that was the case.
In that case, there's no problem at all. I 'missed' a few notifications in the past week but I think the change is extremely positive overall and will make the page much more user-friendly. Thank you!
Are you sure? Just a few days ago, I used the exact search function to find only the pics with the name Ashley Lakomowski and not those with Ashley Marie Lakomowski.

I haven't seen any post about this in the forum, but it looks like the notifications page has been re-done. Now when I click on my notifications I don't see a list of all the notifications that I've received since I last logged in. Rather, I get a list of notifications about six models that I follow and that have had new images uploaded recently, plus thumbnails of these new images.
I think this new system is very clever so I'm not against it at all. But I wonder if the fact that I only see notifications of six girls is a bug or a deliberate feature.
I only log into GWM once a week and that means that every time I log in I have notifications about 20 or so girls that I follow. If the new notifications page is limited to only the most recent 5-6 girls, it means that every week I'll be missing quite a few. Is there no way to change this (or am I imagining things)?
Any user can upload the rotated version of these. If and when they do, that version will be kept while the other is merged into it.
Sadly you can't, I've tried to save the image, then rotate on my PC and re-upload it. If fails saying the image already exists on the site and links to the image in here in it's wrong orientation. I've double checked and it's correct. Even renaming the file doesn't help.
Now with the ones above I could rotate and then crop out the borders so that the resolution of the image is actually different. But Chainer asked me to create this post as he envisaged a routine possibly to go through and correct them from the backend. Do I have that right Chainer?
Chainer - you asked me to start a thread about this issue. If you can access my messages to users you'll see I have messaged many asking them to delete and re-upload to fix the issue. However here are some that I've noticed:
This is the most comprehensive database of images of muscular women on the entire internet, but I don't think the website was intended to be that. It was designed for polls, discussions, and a feed of most recently added images. It could be redesigned to be a better database, but that might impair the social side of the website.
Yes, I know that not all pictures are in numerical order, and it's never been a problem. I reckon pictures aren't always approved in the same order in which they are uploaded.
My problem is that today it's been the very first time I found more new pages than new pictures, i.e. less new pictures than 100 x new pages. I've seen the opposite happen (more new pictures than 100 x new pages, or even less pages than the day before), but I guess it's when moderators mass delete unsuitable pictures, so it's pretty normal. Hope it's clear. I don't know what to make of it.
Pics are numbered by time of submission but queued uploads will usually show up later than direct submissions, which are usually more limited in number aside from a few posters.
It could be overnight there were a lot of direct uploads or the queue synced the next set of approvals which is why the big difference. But the only reason why a “newer” pic will show up on a higher numbered page is it wasn’t a direct upload. In that case check the upload number and if it has been merged at all
Just my two cents.

Thanks admiral_bates!
Here are some more that need to be corrected...

You can only exact search when there is a single name, for example https://www.girlswithmuscle.com/images/?name=...
Hi,
Something seems to be wrong with the exact search. Searching for https://www.girlswithmuscle.com/images/?name=... also retrieves pictures with the name Yarishna Ayala, for example.

A note sent to me from 6Karrel6

I'll take a look at my pics to see if there are more pics affected. It also looks as if they are cutted off 🧐
Here are two of mine that need to be corrected...
Thanks for creating this thread admiral_bates!!!

I flip them all the time for myself, just gives you the right view.

Sometimes all it would take is adding some new search functionality.
Yeah, if you just want to make sure you're looking at newly-uploaded images, marking down the last image ID # would be more accurate than the page #.
Cool, that explains it. I guess there's no way of knowing which photos were restored then.
And yes, the sheer size of the database is mind-blowing.
Impressive attention to detail. It's not a bug, we restored some older images that had previously been deleted.

Over one million and counting.
It's insane how many images are on this site. Millions? Wtf

It's got to do with two different methods of sorting.
