Lots of vague platitudes here. I talked about specifically viewing actual videos that dispelled the media lies .. You brought up AI lol. Good luck.
America voted against fascism.
So by voting in a Fascist, America voted against Fascism. Interesting that. Talk about the definition of Double-Speak.
And you totally ignored my points.
Interesting...again.
I would just like to say that Trump is nothing more than a surrogate, a proxy, or, as more directly, plain-talking people will say, a useful idiot.
This exchange has been entirely revealing.
... and, subsequently, Critical Thinking.
It's funny you mention "critical thinking", norbertwinston, because I fail to see any of that in your posts.
You consistently show up in basically every single controversial/political thread to either just cheerlead your side (replying to others with nothing but a paraphrase of "I agree") or else offer flimsy talking points with very little evidence or reasoning to back them up. Compare, for example, any of your comments here to Gatsby's post upthread, whom I suspect you broadly agree with.
This wouldn't be that much of a problem if it were a oneoff, but the persistence with which you do it puts it over the top. Furthermore, your tendency to do this also brings out the worst in others, as is the case with your interactions in this thread.

I never really understood the logic of namecalling in an argument. What is the success rate of getting someone to see your point of view? Or do you not have a goal?
You might not be namecalling the user directly, but you're certainly trashing their choice of candidate. Imagine if users were calling Kamala a "fascist idiot", we would be flooded with reports to ban that person.

I am sorry Cgsweat, but I am just saying what everyone on the planet is calling Trump...merely just relaying the message (the evidence is easy to see and know). It was not name calling but merely pointing out the obvious.
If that is 'bad', then, I must be banned.

I am sorry for this Chainer. But, as a plain speaker with definite solid values of seeing when a wrong is done, I will speak. Best, I think, is to ban me forever. I do not see any other course for you in this. It is sad, but as Socrates said "Let it be done, give me the poison and shut my mind forever."

Do you vote in the US elections? Were you alive for the 4 years he was president prior? There were no wars started, the US was energy independent and even exporting, interest rates were low which made home ownership affordable for the middle class. Food was affordable. Did it ever cross your mind that maybe we’re tired of the globalism and what other countries think, and just want a strong national identity with a populace that understands men can’t get pregnant?
His policies worked before and they’ll work again. If you hate the policies so be it, but you can’t deny that the hate for him gets in the way of your rationale
> > Putin spanked Biden for four years and endorsed Kamala. > > The great thing about the modern era is you can actually look up the story and see the video for yourself. So when they lie about the "bloodbath hoax" or the "fine people on both sides hoax" or the "he wants to shoot Liz Cheney hoax", you can literally look up the video for yourself and see the ACTUAL video and how they were lying. Too many people are waking up as mainstream media dies.
Oh yes....Putin is one smart psychopath. He even has you fooled Binary. What Putin says (and we can all watch video's till the cows come home) is not at all what the Kremlin is generating on the WWW because slick propaganda can never be brought back to the generator agents mainly because the average brain taking such stuff in has no interest in verifying things properly.
This so-called "great thing about the Modern Era" is nothing more than AI bots pushing items in your face. This is the anti-thesis of Personal Choice and, subsequently, Critical Thinking. This all reminds me of Fahrenheit 451. But the author of the fiction had no idea how far things would go and so soon.
We are currently experiencing the Dawn of the Non-Information Age and this is what Marshal McCluhan meant by "The Medium is the Message".
But you do make several good points...unfortunately, because you ask us to rely upon the Medium, that causes me pause.
Speaking as a Californian, ever since Trump won in 2016, it's felt like a real "Misinformation Age" with so-called liberal and progressive sources discarding impartiality and going hard with one-sided criticism and misleading if not outright lying media to the masses.
That's at least eight years' worth of yellow journalism and propaganda that most Americans were able to see through to elect the better candidate, one chosen by his party rather than ushered into the presidential nomination without contest (and they called Trump the fascist).
Here are some things that happened in the last four years, you tell me if they tilt to fascist/authoritarian or not:
Mandating an experimental injection on your citizens while threatening loss of livelihood, including firing military members who are trying to serve your country.
Openly coming out against free speech (first amendment).
Advocating for a mandatory gun buyback (second amendment).
Using unprecedented lawfare to go after and IMPRISON political opponents. And not just Trump, but Bannon, Navarro, Page, Flynn, Popadopalus.
Using lawfare to KEEP opponents off of ballots in certain states (RFK and Trump AND Stein)
And here's the worst one: importing millions of new and unvetted voters to acquire political power via amnesty (the top priority of Kamala's immigration policy).
I dunno, to me it's pretty clear.

What if I told you the people who think Trump is fascist is actually a minority? Might want to step out of your bubble.
This is an exercise in futility. No amount of proof or logic will convert anyone. Everybody is set in their beliefs or their version of alternate(depending of which side you are on) facts.
If you voted for Harris, world is gonna suck in the future. If you voted for Trump, people are gonna shit gold bricks.
Truth is... Time will tell. I would vote to lock this shitshow but whatever..

It's true. But I'm speaking to specific issues and examples and all I'm getting are vague responses that refuse to address the specific issues. Whatever
Mandating an experimental injection on your citizens while threatening loss of livelihood, including firing military members who are trying to serve your country.
Lol, vaccines aren't some new technology (including mRNA vaccines), and the U.S. military has been mandating vaccinations for troops for its entire history, going back to the Revolutionary War (when the only thing available were innoculations, which involve an actual mild infection and not just inert material to produce antibodies, but were still better than dying of smallpox).
It wouldn't really have been an issue if certain idiots hadn't decided to make it a political issue.
Using unprecedented lawfare
"Lawfare": A made-up word that means "applying legal penalties to people who broke the law, but who I like". That's literally all it means.
And here's the worst one: importing millions of new and unvetted voters to acquire political power via amnesty (the top priority of Kamala's immigration policy).
That's not how that works. Being granted amnesty doesn't give citizenship that makes you eligible to vote. I know you probably get your understanding of immigration law from Elon Musk, but keep in mind he says stupid made-up shit on Twitter all the time.

I think Trump has a number of former (and current) Democrats to thank for voting against the Joe-Kamal administration. I'm not such an idealist anymore, so I expect a considerably better rather than golden future with Trump.

Absolutely dodging every point lol. So why did they open the border on Day one? And why didn't the media ask them why?

His policies worked before and they’ll work again. If you hate the policies so be it, but you can’t deny that the hate for him gets in the way of your rationale
None of his policies worked. This epitomizes why Trump won again, because nobody seems to understand, or remember, or take into account why things were the way they were. They just go "oh gas was cheap 5 years therefore Trump is a genius"
Interest rates were low for 8 years before he ever set foot in the white house. Housing was affordable too. Why? because of the housing crash in 2008. Prices went up since then, but they didn't sky rocket, like they did during the pandemic (and this is/was happening all over the world. Canada is going through it even worse than the US).
Then a global pandemic happened in 2020. That crashed the economy, and why gas was so cheap. Nobody was driving anywhere. Demand plummeted. But housing prices started going up due to increased demand.
Governments around the world dropped interest rates even more. Injected billions of dollars into their economies to prevented an immediate financial catastrophe, but that along with the supply chain crises and record low interest rates set the world up for what was to come in 2021 and 2022, which was a spike in inflation.
As nice as it'd be for economic policy to be introduced today and take full effect tomorrow, on average it takes 1 to 2 years. So Biden's inflation reduction act was signed in August 2022, and we've been seeing the effects of it only this year with inflation finally cooling off to acceptable levels.
As for energy independence: the US is pumping more oil now than ever: https://www.statista.com/statistics/265215/us...
So ya - if you think Trump has a time machine and things will go back to 2019, you're going to be sorely disappointed. The guy has no idea how basic government and monetary policy works, and everything Biden and company did to fix the shit storm from 2020 - 2023 will be undone by even more tax cuts, tariffs, deregulation, and generally bad policy all around. The fact he was more influence on the Fed (likely cause he wants to lower interest rates himself even) will likely be a massive mistake as that will spike inflation up again.
So why did they open the border on Day one?
What the fuck does that even mean? Get out of your rightwing meme bubble or whatever and point to an actual event or policy that happened.
Absolutely dodging every point lol. So why did they open the border on Day one? And why didn't the media ask them why?
They didn't. Just more right wing nonsense. Is the a problem there? Sure. But to think it's like the flood gates opened on day 1 is straight up false.
Oh and the "experimental" vaccines were actually spearheaded by Trump. Look up Operation Warp Speed, and when it started.
The military has always required full vaccination from their members. Stop acting like it's something new, or a travesty.
I think donald trump one because the Republicans have more strong women on their side. like mtg and tulsi gabbard kamala is a woman and should have won because she is a woman. but Trump was backed up by some very strong women. she should have went to the gym more and take some avanar. and she would have won for sure and bring the golden age of matriarchal anarcho social monarchism to America.

They literally did it by executive order dude. Why did they do it? What was the data that showed them it was an urgent thing to do and the right thing to do? Why did it take them so long to fix it .... Which they fixed via .. Guess what .. Executive order LMAO.
