Why will this lead to trouble? Why will not end well? How could this possibly have any complexity to be something to be thought through?

Not sure what the original poster meant, but I want to tip in. Many of the concepts of race accepted as common sense in some places, like the US, make absolutely no sense elsewhere. One could have a hard time trying to fit Brazilian bodybuilders in American race standards, for example, just to begin with. Same thing would be true in most South American countries. I'm not against this being in the tag system, 'per se', but it may not be as straightforward as you think.
Convenient for Asian/African fetishists. But yes it's weird to tag 'white'because at least 95% of them are
Hey, love the new tag system. It's so much more convenient! Just...I noticed a lot of pics are being tagged with the model's race. Is that something that's been thought through? Because I can't see any circumstance where that kind of organization ends well.
I mean, it's good for race fetish reasons, but imo it's just asking for trouble. Am I way off base?
was thinking the same thing... only a matter of time b4 one of the girls sees themselves under a race tag that they don't identify with and rightfully gets offended.
I mean the tags are supposed to be based on their physical appearance and their race is a big part of that.

Yes, or they just feel offended having their photos on a site that provides the ability to filter--and therefore kind of segregate--by race or nationality, and it feels gross to them (as it feels gross to me). I'm in favor of trying not to do things that encourage women to request removal of their photos.
I personally just don't care about the race. and there is a limit to how many tags you can have so it's a waste. some people also add other useless info like her home country.
These people who are putting nacionalites are like: "I really want to see some canadian girls with abs right now, not american girls with abs tho."
Most people will get to the conclusion that is just sorting of physical features in a site of seeing pictures. If you want to see a girl with big biceps you put the bicep tag, If you want to see a girl curly hair you put the curly hair tag, If you want to see a girl with black features you put the black tag, If you want to see a girl that appears to be on her 40s or 50s... well you can't using this system :(

I mean let's not try and take some moral high ground here when we are essentially ripping pictures from all of these womens' social media accounts almost 99% of the time without their consent and collating them into a database used for some degree of sexual gratification by each of us. I am very far left and liberal on the political spectrum. This is not the hill to die on considering the whole purpose of this site is feeding our "urge" in some capacity or another.....

Competely agree with this post. No one that frequents this site has any right to take a moral high ground but this particular race filter is easily asking for trouble. If the site gets reported or even pulled there will be no one to blame but whoever did that

If the site were to get reportrd and pulled, the race tag would be at the bottom of the reasons in comparison to our blatant stealing of content. The only reason the site still exists is because a good number of the women are chill enough to allow us to use their images. The ones that are not are on the blacklist for a reason
When a questionnaire asks "What group do you identify with?" I always answer 'Human'. But I always have to add this as a choice.
I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who thought this turn of events using tags is a bit strange and presumptuous. Labeling someone’s race/ethnicity is putting a very quick judgment on top of a complex issue involving someone’s sense of identity. In addition to that, it can combine with nationality in ways that are not at all what they might look like. (Meaning, ethnicity and nationality don’t always follow one another).
There are two different points being made here:
First: Tagging women by race is offensive. I really don't see the problem here, or care about it a whole lot. I think there's already a lot of reasons someone could visit here and be offended (mostly related to feeling sexualized, which is a complaint I've heard in some takedown requests), and compared to all that, this is just a blip on the radar. That said, if we do think this is likely to result in more takedowns, but it is useful to the community, the thing to do would be to make model tags visible to logged in users only, same as what we did with the image comments.
Second: Some race tags (such as "white") are not useful. I agree. But I don't think this is a race thing; it's true for any tag that applies to a very large portion of the images on the site. Kind of like "delts/shoulders", currently the most popular tag. It's so generic (since it can include any pic that shows some amount of shoulder) as to be useless.
Why do people think tags 'blonde' and 'red hair' are OK, but 'white skin' and 'dark skin' are not? Is there any technical difference between hair color and skin color?
Edit: if someone says they only like white women or don't like black women is racial discrimination, then if a heterosexual person says they only like women or don't like men, is that sex discrimination?
