To be clear, nothing justifies the mindless approach taken.

The guy gave me chapter and verse that had nothing to do with my point.

We used to just call it "obtuse" back in the day. :)

Maybe he had a gun or something you never know for sure. just because he can't defeat her in a fight doesn't mean that he can't be dangerous.

Or a bomb strapped to him threatening the entire hotel? Save the fiction for your stories.

The absolute dumbest, most clueless humans tend to be men. It has nothing to do with a fetish for muscular women (a fetish is something that is uncommonly or unusually arousing, which is why people do not talk about boob fetish; if someone worshiped massive breasts, the type that the vast majority of men look upon with horror, then we're in fetish territory). Having some kind of unusual turn is absolutely normal. I believe the most common fetish for men is feet, which do nothing for me. Athletic women with a leaner body composition are increasingly mainstream, as evidenced by the Olympics, but the levels of muscularity valorized on this site are (currently) far beyond the general public.

Whatever happened to just not being an asshole? Seriously, why does everyone all of the sudden think they have permission to be the absolute worst versions of themselves?

> > For the record: "goddess" is often used as a BDSM term. It means a dominant, powerful woman. You'll address a domme as "yes goddess" in the same way that you'd say "yes doctor" to someone. > > Although to be fair, I think that this language is lost on a lot of schmoes, who simply equate it to the literal meaning. > > Either way: Danielfan is entirely wrong. The situation described (man gets on an elevator with a woman, solely with the intention of confronting and engaging her) would be terrifying for pretty much any woman on Earth. You'd need to be unbelievably naive to think otherwise. But I'm not putting anything past some of the members of this forum.

There are only few(on here) that can operate normally in presence of a fbb. Regardless of your personal preferences regarding the "fetishization" of "the sport", almost everyone else that has commented here, prove my point. They all put these women on a pedestal and short circuit their brains. Just look at how they talk about these women in superlatives. Look at some of reviews on the camsites. There's a solution to this. Take it upon yourself to push yourself in that manner, to achieve a similar physique. That will help you understand that they are just normal people too. In the process you become healthier, mentally and physically.

Otherwise you will end up draining your hard earned money for the rest of your miserable lives, acting like a weirdo in presence of these women.

While I absolutely agree that encouraging those to also get into lifting helps with understanding the work they put into (it will also make opening a conversation with them much easier since you can talk about training and not default to "fetishy" questions,) I think that the better solution for some in this thread is to really work on social skills and social etiquette.

While yes, I get that this is an Internet forum and not the "real world," I have seen comments and posts that display a stunning lack of the two. The fact that there are a sizable number of people here who are dismissing and downplaying what this dude did (and even some showing sympathy to the guy) is honestly pretty concerning and straight up comes across as dismissive towards a woman who rightly felt uncomfortable at a dude acting like a creeper. Learning how to talk to women goes a long away.

Why did the ‘creep’ approach Michaela in the lift when she was alone?

Was he hoping she would find him interesting? Was he hoping she would take him to her room? Or did he just want to have a chat with a female bodybuilder?

Whatever the reason, Michaela found the situation creepy. It was probably the first time it had ever happened to her! I wouldn't be surprised!

some men can’t fathom someone they desire not wanting them, when they’re this delusional they’re capable of doing anything which is why we’re so concerned.

Repeat offenders exist hopefully she was able to give a description of the guy to the folks in charge.

Why did the ‘creep’ approach Michaela in the lift when she was alone?

The way Michaela recounts is she "got on the elevator and just one other guy got on"..it appears that he was following her.. that is far from an "approach".

It is perfectly fine to approach.. but doing so way before the elevator is within spitting distance is a far better idea..he can just say "excuse me , miss?" And then say what you mean to say, wish her well and walk away!

Was he hoping she would take him to her room?

Insecure fbb fans may fantasize about something like this.. but in real life.. in this situation, lacking confidence and behaving like this.. he's not hoping for anything... his head is like "oh sh*t..say something.. do something" ..which of course explains his erratic behavior.. and why his creep score is sky high

Or did he just want to have a chat with a female bodybuilder?

Maybe, but he probably wanted to chat with THIS bodybuilder..during the Olympia, fbbs and fit girls are everywhere nearby around the venue..

Whatever the reason, Michaela found the situation creepy. It was probably the first time it had ever happened to her! I wouldn't be surprised!

Probably not the first time.. but I don't blame her for feeling creeped out finding herself alone with that guy in a confined space.. as I mentioned earlier , these types of insecure guys, especially if they have no plan and no confidence.. behaving like this..can be equally perceived as creeps or dangerous .. her intuition will default to dangerous, because she is not going to stick around to find out either way!

> > > Generalizations should only be drawn when the majority of a population exhibits a certain behavior. Instead, they're often drawn based on rates, even if it isn't representative of the entire group. > > Look at it like this: Say Population A has 1 million people, and one person has committed a crime. Population B also has 1 million people, but two have committed a crime. Population B has a crime rate twice that of Population A, yet 99% of its population aren't criminals. Would it be fair to generalize Population B as criminals? > > I have personally never seen a generalization made that is actually a fair representation of an entire group.

This interpretation doesn't doesn't address the reality of the encounter in the elevator. It doesn't matter whether 1 in a million or 1 in 10 people are dangerous. It only takes ONE attacker to harm someone or worse. It doesn't matter one bit whether the stereotype is fair or true. The person who feels threatened has to deal with that encounter as a single data point, so to speak. She would have no idea whether or not the guy approaching her was that one in a million or that one of two in a million. The stereotype question is beside the point. The guy in the elevator was very fairly and rightly perceived as a potential threat. He wasn't there representing a group. He was pretty clearly stalking. She has to take care of her own safety.

I think you missed the context. I wasn't taking issue with her perceiving him as a threat.

I'm doing well though and slowly getting back day by day. How are you? I hope all is well with you. Crazy how fast time passes. We are not kids anymore.

Aw, wow, sounds scary, but glad you're still with us. Apart from getting fat, things are going mostly great here. Losing DtV was sobering, though. The grind never ends, but I'm thankful for having been able to live this dream.

Amen my friend. It was scary and still is a little. I'm glad you are still at it. I do miss the DTV days now that you mention it.
