Before/After Bodybuilding Transformations

Thanks Anthonythegrad for a great group of pics. Just left a couple of my absolute favorites with this comment.

I love before and after muscle posts. I'm glad to add to the list of "normal woman" to "muscle goddess" transformations

"Tomorrow marks a year since I decided I wanted to save my life and live. This is the anniversary of my RNY (gastric bypass) surgery. I have a lot of people who are rooting for me and think that my journey may help others. Two years ago I let my bipolar diagnosis define me. I was so depressed I didn’t know whether I was coming or going. I quickly went from 150lbs to 401lbs. At one point, I could barely walk around my house without getting winded. The final straw was having to be wheeled in the airport in a wheelchair because I was morbidly obese. I had to watch my husband enjoy our cruise and go off port while I stayed behind because I couldn’t walk far. I had severe sleep apnea and was diagnosed with pre diabetes. Finally enough was enough. This was not the Yasmine I knew, so I made the decision to have the surgery. For all the naysayers, the surgery was not a quick fix, but only a tool. I got my butt back in the gym, and changed my whole way of eating. I changed the way I thought about food. I eat for fuel now. I earned this and I know this lifestyle isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but, maybe someone needed to read this and know that this is not the end. You can do this, you just have to take the first step, whether it’s weight loss surgery or just finding the courage to step in the gym. You can do it! You are worth it! Stay blessed and encouraged!!"
