I'd like to just say that it's been interesting reading most of the comments on this thread. I thought it was pretty cut and dry when the thread was only like 2 pages long and a vast majority of the votes agreed that they didn't want trans women on the main site but this has devolved into a thread of antagonization on both sides.
I feel like I understand where both sides are coming from but honestly it feels like many members here are either venting or trying to piss off the other side. At the end of the day, do you but I feel like it's only causing more controversy when one person says "trans women aren't women" and another says "it would be really funny to see these transphobes get upset that they got erect from a trans woman". I don't think either kind of comment is healthy for the conversation and I see some comments that may agree with this.
Speaking for only my self and as I've mentioned in another thread. I'm not into trans women, their inclusion on the main site would only make it more inconvenient when finding a new girl that I may favorite or subscribe to. I'd probably have to double check on Google if she can even be found and in a case where a picture I favorited ends up being a trans woman I'd probably just say "damn" find the photo and unfavorite it. Just keep it moving. Either way it would just make navigating the main site slightly more tedious and I think that's honestly all that it'll come down to. I don't think most people that don't want trans women on the main site are going to lose their shit if they find out the person they've been staring at for 30 seconds was originally male but I can't say some won't. Either way as Chainer has mentioned nothing is changing. I would hope that something like this can be more civil but considering the topic of conversation as a whole is still sort of fresh (it's been about 10ish years since I first heard of the concept) so people may still feel somewhat strongly about it.
Please don't mix it up here. From the genetic standpoint females are XX. Nothing from the trans can change that. Hope here still being conservative at that

While I maintain that scenario, is, pretty funny, you are aboslutely right. Not a healthy or helpful comment.
Admittedly I got triggered when I read some blatant hate comments. I should have reacted with a more measured response.
To be clear I am completely fine with the poll and the consenus (I voted no). I don't wish to force anything on anybody.

I was referring to the people on here who are upset about trans people existing in society. This discussion often goes all the way there.
Most critics don't dispute the existence of trans people. As in people who profess to some dubious faith based belief in some alleged identity. This argument of the denial of existence is a typical red herring that gender ideologues like to throw out to deflect from valid criticisms. Most critics have an issue with trans people and their allies trying to force their gender religion on them. This expectation that others should have to give deference and respect to this belief. To have to affirm and validate it. Something which frequently means treating trans individuals as something they objectively are not by denying the objective truth of sex and disregarding the nuances of sexual dimorphism in the human species.

Yeah because catfishing straight men is absolutely hilarious. I wonder if you also think it's hilarious the amount of trans sex workers that are assaulted or killed due to this type of predatory behavior? It's interesting how you believe that the guys catfished by trans pictures on this would have some crisis of sexuality. As if those people can't reconcile that they just have an attraction to the feminine form. There's a huge difference between base desire and impulse stoking an attraction and arousal and actually acting on that impulse and committing to same sex relations.

You have no shame laughing about potentially catfishing men with trans images. Something which when played out in the real world in the sex work industry carries extreme risk for trans sex workers. Something of which I thought you might be sensitive to but of course not if it means getting one over on people who disagree with you and the gender religion you obviously adhere to.

I think most reasonable people would see deception through the lying by omission about the nature of ones sex to entice a person into a relationship as catfishing. Is there a relationship being sort through adding trans images on the site and hiding that fact from users? No. But the impact is similar. This predatory behavior around toying with the emotions specifically of straight men. Something by your own words you would find "absolutely hilarious". How's it a contradiction exactly? I'm not the one trying to impose my faith based beliefs on others. Specifically this dubious belief in some alleged identity. That would be a segment of the trans community and their enablers.
