I tried this. To level set, I am in my late 50s but still maintain a respectable grip. I can close a captains of crush no. 2 gripper, which is rated at 195 lbs. For the can crush attempt, I used a current version, US manufactured 12 oz (355 ml) diet coke can, unsealed, and I gripped and squeezed in the same manner as she does in the video. I can report I had zero success. But, apparently most other humans would not either. I did some research and a found a book by John Brookfield, a noted grip strength athlete called "the Grip Master's Manual." The book states that the Coca Cola company estimates it takes 600 lbs of pressure to burst their 12 oz cans. The book actually discusses can crushing, but only while using 2 hands. There is no mention of it being common place to do a soda can crush with one hand.
It doesn't take that much it takes somewhere between 200 and 250 lbs. 600 is enough to crush a human skull

Blues' humility is downplaying the impressiveness of closing a #2 Captain's of Crush gripper. That's well above average. A typical strong guy can maybe close a #1 without training.

From what I can tell, it (luckily) takes at least 1,100 lbs of pressure to crush a human skull at its weakest point. (Ref 1, ref 2)
Sealed can crushing info is sparse. Maybe Jamie and Adam can reunite to test that one out

The can crush can be faked. This isn't meant to take away from how strong she is, as she's certainly in the top 1% of strongest women on the planet. But that doesn't mean that she couldn't have faked the can crush.

Agreed. I shared my experience in trying the can crush to provide some real world context as to how difficult of a feat this is. I make no assertion as to whether she is faking it or not in the video.
Proof
I hereby verify those ballpark figures. He's right. 100/90/75.
This counts as a peer review so the results are now official. That's science. So let it be written, so let it be done.
Might? XD
