i would say here are some things that i typically look out for:
How They Sign Up
If someone you are following on socials is saying "I finally gave in in make one because y'all ahve been asking" when they do it, I'm inclined to believe they won't "take it seriously" as in: they may not post for a while once it's open, or they will post infrequently. They probably felt pressured into doing it with the promise of money, likely from a management group who thinks they will be able to make some quick profit if they can take over quickly since they can't make the page without the woman's consent.
Signing Up for OF in 2024
It is the year of our lord 2024, and the OF boom has passed. I think women know what kind of mess they could end up in using it, and what i hear from fairly liberal friends is "more power to them but i'd never do it" or "if i knew could make great money i'd try it" but i dont really believe that. Mostly a lot of people trying to make a quick buck have moved to the relatively safe IG subscription.

A creator that actually gives well thought out, elaborate, and attentive conversation (this was very prevalent with my convos with MuscleGeisha) in the DMs is a content creator worth supporting. Of course she won't be as prompt if her following is fairly decent, but if she inquires about a hobby of yours and actually pays attention to what you're saying or is willing to give you feedback based on a personal situation you're going through stick with them.
LACK OF OR A MINIMAL AMOUNT OF THE USE OF THE WORD "BABE"
If she is immediately leaning too hard into using "babe" to address you then you better turn on your radar. A creator that will ask what your name is in her auto greet message and then proceed to address you and actually engage with the message you respond with and won't immediate jump into hassling you is definitely the creator you may want to consider humoring.
This is actually an idea I'm using that I saw on the realonlyfansreviews subreddit. I decided to start this thread to help others who may not recognize all the signs that are shown when dealing with a shady or scammy creator pinpoint them so they won't get taken for their hard earned money. Without any further ado, I'll get right to it:
If you're looking to buy content from a creator, some of the main red flags to look for include but are not limited to:
-ALWAYS ONLINE This is a big indicator that an account is potentially being run by an agency and not the creator themselves. Within our niche we know women who are built the way they are have to go about their daily lives training, eating, running errands, and working their day jobs to maintain their lifestyle. There's no way she has the physique she has and is actually available all around the clock at any time of the day (or night) to chat and fulfill requests for us. The popular ones definitely don't because they would be overwhelmed with inquiries.
-PRICE HIKES If you and a creator agree to a price for a custom and even after you paid they decided to up the ante on you to see if you'll pay more, DO NOT do it! This is a major major red flag!!! I've had this done to me before a few times. If the final price is not set in stone, then leave it alone!
-LAYERING PPV VIDEOS TO HIDE THE RUNTIME This is a crafty tactic used on OF to get you to buy the PPV without taking into account how long the video actually is. When the PPV video is layered with a photo, it won't allow you to see the runtime of the video until you purchase it. A creator can charge 50 dollars for a 3 second video and if you don't pay attention you'll get got after buy it. I've seen creators sell entire livestreams as a PPV for super cheap but if that creator is consistently pushing PPVs on you and you can never see the runtime on any of them, chances are the video in that package probably includes a 15 second clip when you were thinking it was going to be at least 5 minutes.
Gray Flags:
-Asking for money for content upfront. This can go either way because you can have an honest creator that uses this model who's doing it to ensure you'll actually pay for the content, but at the same time it can also be a slick way to get the money without providing the content. It can be really tricky so you have to pay attention to the other signs.
There are others, but for the sake of the discussion I won't list everything. Let me know which ones you've noticed in your experience. We can also discuss green flags as well
exactly. the messages personality and content changes, very obvious. Offers to to "chat" which is crazy because you have no idea who you are 'chatting' with. the rates also double or triple suddenly.

Also, overusing emojis lol. Definitely a sign of a managed account from someone who I don’t think knows how women actually talk to men.
Another that I see especially on Reddit are posts with titles that clearly bank on a dude’s thirsty hopes. I would constantly see OF models say shit like “I specialize in fan fucks” or “my goal is to fuck a redditor in every state, where are you from?” and inevitably thirsty dudes will fall for it even if not hours before another model posted the EXACT SAME topic. If any guys who browse subs like that also read here: I promise you no muscular woman is going to fuck with some random doughy redditor lol.
This thread has excellent ideas... I am pessimistic though considering how bad content creators will have millions of fans despite spelling it out for them.
I will add to few of those red flags
when they(content creators) appear to be victims, examples - my dad is in the hospital, car troubles etc. These gullible men immediately pull out their wallets...
when they want to be your psychologist. Some of them are actively seeking therapy in real life but it's funny how they play doctor doctor on these men and treat them like guinea pigs.
reviews can speak volumes if one knows how to read them. Over the top biased reviews from a minority subset is not a correct indicator. If the language sounds familiar in repeated patterns of verbose in several reviews, it is a clear indicator of the same individuals simping for their creators.
To add in some key red flags for my OP, I'll keep re-editing my OP to add some more in so people can know the main ones to look for. That way it won't be so difficult for them to comb through the thread to find some of the main ones that have already been said.
I think that these are good guidelines for sure. The only points that I have are:
PAYING FOR CUSTOM CONTENT UP FRONT I've bought over 50 customs since 2020. Every girl that I've interacted with has required this when I'm a new client to her. Which I understand... why would they put in the work to make my video and address me by name, if there's a chance that I simply decide not to buy it? After being a repeat customer, I have been allowed to pay to unlock.
I know that there's a chance of getting scammed, but I feel like I would have missed out on a lot of great creators if I wasn't willing to risk it. That said, if its something expensive ($100+), I think that it's reasonable to ask for some kind of deposit and balance setup.
OF STIGMA & IG SUBSCRIPTIONS I'm willing to be proven wrong on this, but I don't get the impression that anyone in the muscle fetish world is seriously leveraging IG subscriptions. I've never personally subscribed. I don't think it's a resonable substitute, but again, I could be wrong.
OF does have a bit of a stigma, but I don't think it's as bad as some believe. It all depends on what kind of content they make on there. I might be an outlier, but I follow muscle girls and feet models for those attributes.. muscles and feet. I have no problem if the model doesn't do nude scenes or sex scenes, and quite a few decline that.
I will say.. I've seen a lot of this kind of content move to Patreon lately.
ALWAYS ONLINE & PORN TALK Can't agree enough on this. If the model is always online, if I'm being messaged a lot with "BBY" or "Babe" and being sold stuff all of the time, it's an instant unsub for me. Such a turnoff.
I've also read on reddit that some "managing agencies" tell lies to the creators that everything is going great while in reality their fleecing customers. Resulting in a massive drop in subscribers. sucking everything they can out the account, then leave the creator out to dry and move on to the next.

OVER NEGOTIATION- If you ever find yourself on multiple occasions having to constantly negotiate the terms and conditions of your content because "Insert excuse here"...Her dog walked in the room so she couldn't record...she says she wasn't able to do something in the video long after you negotiated the terms and you've paid for the content...She says what you were asking of her in the request was "too much" and wants to do something else and negotiates the video down to its simplest form to where it's arguable if it's even a custom anymore. RED FLAG
Kinda dealing with this one right now and it can be pretty annoying but you have to peep game when it's being done to you.

What about when you're messaging, you pay for a custom and then they go quiet on messages, no updates on how it is going and keep leaving you on unread.
That too can be a red flag especially after you've made multiple attempts to follow up and they give you nothing. It makes it even more damning when you see that they've left you on read (indicated by the two small check marks that appear right under the message bubble)
Another red flag to pay attention to is the FALL OFF CREATORS...This is a once good creator turned bad or not so great. There are a numerous amount of indicators that can show how a creator has fallen off. Price hikes out of nowhere, becoming more busy thus changing the patterns in how they communicate or generally operate, and even going dark on creating content in general. These are all major things that can show how a creator just isn't hitting the way they used to. When a creator has fallen off, if you're paying attention you will notice when it happens because things just won't be the same anymore. Tina Trap Queen is an example of this because her account used to be one of the most critically acclaimed in our space and once she switched over to a managed account, that's when the BS came.
The customs will get more expensive and non-negotiable. The conversations will be very short and very few and far in between if she's got other things going on or becomes more popular. And one day you may log on to find out that she deleted her profile and all that content you were privy to is gone. It is what it is. This red flag can be very obvious to many and a very obtuse thing for others.
That brings me to another Gray Flag:
POPULAR CREATORS - I put this in the gray category because it's not necessarily to the fault of the creator deliberately doing this but it's just something that comes with being on the internet. A popular creator who gets a high level of engagement may not give you the best experience but there still may be something to get out of it. There's so many ways it can go. A popular creator may provide a wealth of content for you to explore. They may also just copy and paste their IG because it's the easiest route to take to make some extra money on the side. A popular creator may give you the content you're looking for at a fair price (that's because their broad subscriber base can make up the difference) but you may not want to even bother with communicating with her because her DMs are overwhelmed. They may also give you content that is very overpriced because they know they have a group of whales who are willing to pay for anything from them no matter what the price is. It's a big toss up when dealing with a popular creator but if you want a good level of engagement to feel like you're connecting with them, subscribing to a popular account is not the way to go.
For customs, you really need to set a budget in your own head and if they go above it, or won't negotiate down into your budget you have to be willing to walk away. Managed profiles cause that scenario a lot.
A good experience with a creator will cause you to return and purchase more, a bad experience just leads to people walking away and going to another creator.

You are right about that! It would definitely change the dynamic of how people engage on the website especially if the creator can't control the comments.

The price to get into their VIP subscribers will more than likely be excessively high (Well over $100 USD) and what's being offered to you will be redundant considering the fact that you already subscribed to her profile. It's completely unnecessary and they claim to offer all these percs like "free messaging" and access to all of this other exclusive content. It's complete nonsense! She just found a slick way to sucker you out of more money. Olivia Swaida, her friend Leigh Laurel, and Courtney Crawford are all culprits of using this tactic!

I've taken noticed that this tactic is HIGHLY prevalent among creators in Argentina. I've found a few decently fit women in that space who do content for dirt cheap but you are definitely going to have to slog through multiple promos to even get to their content. That's if they even promote themselves on their own profile in the first place.
