would be the dream for some guys here to have some kind of set up like that and your wife is down to participate

This is disheartening to hear. Diana the Valkyrie along with Brawna and MAK's stories were responsible for exposing to female muscle fantasy. I am going to miss them but it also means that I will have to look somewhere else for female muscle stories.

Wow, this gives me a lot to think about also.

Gatsby: I enjoyed reading your fine post and appreciate your thoughts and reflections.

Like many others here, DtV was the first place where I found stories and pictures that clearly represented the "fetish" that I had. I was a member for several years for the pictures, but that dropped off as more pictures appeared for free on the internet. It was the stories that interested me the most anyway. And after many years I eventually plucked up the courage to submit some of my early efforts.

The only communication I had with "Diana" was when I was abroad for work and I had a new credit card. I responded to the fee not paid email with "I'm out of the country and can't update for now". The response was a months extension, no charge. You probably won't get that nowadays.

Great site, it will be sorely missed.

@Nytrytr777 I do remember Jabber. Thanks for mentioning his name. Brings back nice memories.

So sad. I loved the stories.

gosh, this is surprisingly close to home. I was about your age (give or take a few years) when i discovered the place and...it was pretty much how i discovered muscular women in the first place. i loved the stories, especially.

it's really sad to see it just...gone.

Re-enter the thread... what sad news, a real shame that the site has gone down and lost really valuable material. Hopefully it can be uploaded to the website again. ..... I am already grateful to the owner who welcomed him, sometimes he seemed to read my mind and for that I will be very grateful.

im sure some brave and tenaciouis people will go to the internet archive and continue pulling down the .txt files if they can.

however, the only place the old videos and photos were stored is not on peoplesd hard drives. even low quality, it's still valueable to a lot of us (a lot of the NYMC stuff for example). so unless they share it that shit is GONE

has anyone archived the stories?

Apr 05, 2024 - permalink

seems like most of the stories posted between 2018 and 2024 are gone but by that point most people probably posted to other sites too. some also suffer from weird glitches when there are non ascii symbols like é becomes ?

Great post, great thread. Have had the same ride with DTV and the other early sites, just as described by so many of you. RIP and thank you DTV.

So sad to hear the news... I guess now the Valkyries can take him to Odin's hall.

For the stories library, here you go, boys: https://mega.nz/file/V2cn0TSK#PrRaUfQv2fSOYQV...

Password is dtv_gwm_2024

I won't keep the link there forever, so please get it soon if you want it.

Excuse the weird tags. Unfortunatelly only texts and pictures, no voice stuff.

You can still access the site via wayback machine:

https://web.archive.org/web/20240101000000*/h...

The content in the archive is mainly scraped in march 2021 and january 2022 directly from the site, and the rest scraped today through the wayback machine.

Imagine if we fine tuned an LLM on this stuff.

If anyone wants the scrape script, let me know. There may be things I botched that you could fix if you have the time.

Thank you for opening this thread - I was sad to hear that DtV is no more! I was just going there for stories lately, but remember browsing the site for pics and drawings back in the day.

Thank you to the webmaster for running it for so many years. Apparently he was a high profile computer specialist and ran the site and many others on his own servers. I wonder what will happen to the terabytes of data collected there - hopefully they will somehow be preserved.

My condolences to the family.

My thoughts also.

A lot of that content is important, because it represents a phase of the early Internet that was much less commercialized. There were free sections of that site, and a lot of the models on the site were amateurs who were having fun while demonstrating the possible… that a woman could be fit and strong, and be proud of it.

It was one of the most important and pioneering sites on the subject of muscular women and associated fetishes. I wrote several short stories in my Portuguese language and I made a deal at the time with the webmaster that I would give him my short stories in exchange for lifetime access to the site, and he fulfilled it until the last moment. An irreparable loss

I share the same sentiment as some of you here. thevalkyrie.com and brawna.org are one of the first websites I came across at an young age of 13 in 2008. These websites gave me a new way to explore my female muscle fetish via text based stories. The websites were simple enough to load on the slowest Internet connections.

While brawna was shutdown years ago, theValkyrie remained as last hope. I had never thought that I will see this day, to see the end of the Valkyrie, but as some of you mentioned it acts as a reminder that nothing lasts forever.

May the webmaster rest in peace and thank you for all your years of service towards this community.

PS: If someone is interested it might be possible to get the data from waybackmachine

Not if it’s password protected. Some of the content might be available like the free fiction stories etc.

if they didn't make provisions to hand this off to anyone live i doubt he intended for it to continue past his death. i dont think anything but bare minimum was done for the site in recent years.

Some things come to an end and people have to accept it.

I understand it was his dying wish to be cremated along with his hard drives.

its a very long shot but i really liked the 'Joan' story from Jim Priest. With valkyrie's site gone and the wayback machine having not archived it, im afraid it might be gone forever. does anyone have it saved by any chance/know any other place it might be there? (new account means i cant post links yet. Sigh.)

The wayback machine can be awkward to use sometimes. like you are on the 2020 version of the site and you click on a link to an old story and it doesn't work. but if you go to the 2010 version it may work or you have to go back to the 2002 version despite the story being unaltered
