pretty sure Valentina Mishina was a Fashion Model before getting into bodybuilding.

The picture on the right looks like a really bad photoshop. As if the face and the body were from totally different persons.

Yes imo Sharon was the most perfect mix of beauty and muscle of all fbb's . Just one in a million

Vladislava Galagan is like the current version of Sharon Bruneau in that she also combines a beauty queen face with an impressively muscular physique.

That's typical of EG Pro photos. Whoever does these shoots spends an excessive amount of time airbrushing their faces for some reason.

As a girl I ask myself what was their point of no return to switch from model to bodybuilder.

As a girl I ask myself what was their point of no return to switch from model to bodybuilder.

The modelling career isn't particularily long, typically 5-7 years which means there is no real point of no return from bodybuilding since age does play a huge role in modelling. As bodybuilders they could push their career by another 10 or 15 years, so bodybuilding becomes more of an investment rather than niche path.

Also there might be other factors that settles a womans bodybuilding career path. PEDs are standard in the fitness industry and as soon as the side effects from PEDs are noteworthy it's basically too late to ever try to become a non muscular model again. And there might be "unresolved psychological issues" that would play a role in how invested a woman will be in bodybuilding, ie. how muscular she will become.

Either way, even though muscle women is still considered a "niche" it could be a very lucrative career path for women in their 30's and 40's, as for younger women. But as you might imply, anyone should think twice about changing ones looks, body and health for an unnatural muscle growth.

I wonder if it is an anorexia / eating disorder recovery pipeline to a considerably less fatal obsession for most of the super skinny models turned bodybuilders.

I might be wrong, but wasn't Heather Pedigo Parsons a model before she became a bodybuilder?

I recall reading years ago that Heather was a participant in at least one beauty pageant in Indiana when her last name was Pedigo. I don't know if it was a state-level competition.
