I have a really stupid question, but I'm wondering if anyone can give me some perspective.
This might just be my confirmation/selection bias, but it seems like a good number of female bodybuilders are lesbian. I have also noticed that a lot of women athletes (like WNBA players, soccer players, etc) are also gay. Is there any relationship/correlation between being involved in an activity that is predominantly practiced by men (like how the majority of bodybuilders and strength athletes are men,) or is just happenstance that some women who are involved in said activities are lesbian without there being any relationship between the two?
I ask this because growing up, I had crushes on girls who were athletic and into stuff that were male-dominated, and they wound up being lesbian.
^ I also had crushed on a couple of girls in my middle school years that were tomboys that later came out, but obviously there is no homogeny in terms of interests/presentation and if they aren’t straight.
Plenty of lesbians that dive into the girly girly stuff, and plenty on the other end, and a lot in between. For bodybuilders or I guess anyone that falls under “takes weightlifting seriously” I guess there’s kind of a “look” that I haven’t been wrong often about. Usually baseball caps or sometimes that head wrap, boxers, basketball shorts, sometimes that sleeveless cutoff+ sports bra combo.
But again it’s never good to assume. Not everyone is like Olivia Gravengaard’s (now Ramsey, and I can’t figure if this was her maiden name or her new beaus last name) SO who posts long emotional notes on IG about them, vs Olivia who man the posts about it once in a while since her page is more geared toward her career/business. Sometimes you know pretty quickly for whatever reason. Sometimes you wonder and wait to see what happens. I’m convinced that Rachel Daniels is lesbian and is in thing with Brodsky, but I have no evidence, it’s just a vibe, and also observations on her postings and whenever someone asks her orientation she answers “I like what I like”. Just like everything else, it’s a real grab bag.
Pansexuality is being attracted to people regardless of sex or gender identity.

I'm still struggling to see the difference? Bi = either gender, Pan = don't mind which gender. It's exactly the same.

Again: bi- likes features of either gender. Pan- doesn't care about features of gender. It seems very different to me
Pans will include people who are non-binary, genderfluid and/or intersex-born, all of which fall outside the binary spectrum. Pans are also far less likely to be particular about whether or not someone is a different gender from the one they were born with in cases where some Bis may take exception.
Bis otoh aren't always 'straight down the middle', with many bearing a distinct homo/heterocentric leaning in their preferential biases. for that reason, gender distinctions play a more prominent role in defining bisexuality than they do with pansexuality.
