New image comment quality filter

(This is attempt #2 at improving the image comments; attempt #1 was here)

I have added a quality filter for newly created image comments. If the comment you are posting falls below the quality threshold, you will get an error message when you click the post button. You can then revise your comment if you want to.

I am deliberately not saying how the quality filter works. Depending on your commenting style, you may run into it almost never, or you may run into it for basically every comment you post.

This is only active for image comments, and not for commenting anywhere else on the site.

If you are trying to post a comment and the filter is stopping you, and you are really convinced the filter is wrong, post here with the content of your comment.

This will be interesting. Soon there will be a flood of complaints asking why 🍆💦 isn't allowed.

I be sure lil nerds find a way to write and use cheap trick to keep the filter away but let´s see how it works and if keep close to 50 % away it is a success i guess

For me the problem is not a funny comment it is sexist , offend , just a stupid YES or just Wow , f..x me , and so on , at other 1 try tread and the comment tread there was more of this listed

Good point Liesbeth. Some people are really rude. Although I got a post rejected already so I don't know if there is something you need to say (in general that is) to have it get past the filters now. Not that I'm complaining about that. I just need to know how it works now. 🤔

Tell how filter works is like give a manual how to use cheap tricks to pass the filter

I think one word comments are history!

When I tried to reply to a comment it wouldn't let me. But my comment posted fine after removing the quote. Weird.

When I tried to edit an older comment by removing some dumb words I used, it wouldn't let me!

So how are we supposed to know what the quality criteria are?

Keep editing until comment accepted

Too much like hard work. This is going to be a disincentive to post any comments at all, especially if it blocks apparently innocuous comments.

Nearly 95% of my comments are getting that error message……Very frustrating Commenting is one of the best parts of this site

My comment got blocked: "I'll always favorite some "Dirndl-muscle"! ;)"

I don't know if short comments are really so big a problem that you need to have a filter blocking them. I wouldn't make interaction with the community (like with comments) harder though, it will do more harm than good and discourage many people from posting comments. I feel the effect already.

Major impact on site performance. Everything is way slower.

I commented " Wow nice biceps" and it got rejected.

I tried to reply some comments with: 'Thanks guys!! This is also from a video 😜'

And got rejected 😔

To be fair, you write literally the exact same thing, or variety of (“what a woman!”) in practically all your 14K(!) image comments. Variety is the spice of life, my friend!
