> The only thing that gives me a little hope that things might change a bit in Hollywood is Disney somehow letting the Luisa character in Encanto be not only physically strong, but actually BIG and MUSCULAR. Even though it's just a cartoon, that's a pretty major paradigm shift for a major top tier studio.
Speaking of paradigm shift, check out the actress who played the younger version of Guinan in Star Trek Picard season 2. Whoopi Goldberg played the original character so she's not supposed to be physical at all, but the actress portraying the younger Guinan is jacked.

Wow, she's got some great arms.
A new image of Natalie came out today
I love people's reaction to seeing her new body
So I get that Mjolnir is a magic hammer. So for those who can lift it, does it weigh the same as a hammer of equivalent size?
I would say Natalie should at least look like she can wield a hammer that size, but for all I know it's technically weightless for her character.
I think it’s like 40 lbs. canonically and the enchantment gives those who wield it super strength as part of the “powers of Thor”

I see. So there's still nothing (at least in terms of lore) that would put pressure on Natalie (or the director/producers for that matter) to put on any more size.
It looks like she's put on some size, and it's better than nothing. A step in the right direction, so I guess for now that's all we can ask for.
historically you had to be "worthy" to lift the hammer, so it doesn't particularly matter how heavy it is (though IIRC it's forged from the material in a dwarf star?)
for Jane it turns her into Thor.
currently, it turns out there was a living embodiment opf the storm living in the hammer which was causing issues.
lots of twist and turns at the moment.
For anyone that’s saying she’s not muscular, I get it because she doesn’t look like a bodybuilder. BUT…she definitely is more muscular than she was and that’s a good thing. She looks fit and not frail. And people are talking about it. Most people don’t think like us so being slightly more muscular than she was is huge. Who knows, maybe she’ll catch the bug and put on 20 lbs of muscle cuz she liked lifting so much.
its probably that she looks like she eats meals, which is so different from seeing the looks that starlets are still throwing around. she was in GREAT shape for Star Wars, but she was also like 20. They've def done some makeup work on her arms to contour but reality is she looks like your average woman which IMO is a huge improvement over what hollywood usually pushes. especially after she did black swan
She's not muscular. I don't know why this thread even exist.
Not by bodybuilder standards.

I remember first seeing her on the New York episode of "Master of None" season 2 and have been following her since. She's got some pretty amazing calves as well.
