The results of those diabolical potions are wildly spectacular. I completely understand their seductive allure. However, objectively, given all the medical issues that could arise, it's a Faustian deal that I'd recommend people stay away from.
> Some of the married women competitors even slept with some of the judges to win favors.
What
It's true. Some women out there who are desperate to win at competitions like bodybuilding, bikini, modelling, and more will sleep with the judges if they have to to win.

I mean... you're entitled to your opinion, but why are you posting this on a bodybuilding fan site where like 98% of the women benefit from these substances?
It's like going to a site for BMW M-series vehicles and saying that driving fast is unsafe. You're not wrong... but also no one is listening.

It’s just some fantasy from people who aren’t experienced in exercise science and don’t realize the realities of how hard it is to build muscle naturally versus when on PEDs.

Agreed yeah.
I think that - when used responsibly - androgenic steroids are basically miracle drugs. I absolutely love them, and I wish that the shame and stigma could just go away. They literally make it possible for all of the women that we love to look so powerful and ripped.

I do CrossFit, and I also compete on a local level.
I always laugh when people say that CrossFit Games athletes are drug-free. I know quite a few people who use PEDs and compete only locally. These are men and women who at best might make the quarterfinals in the Open, but they have no hope of ever making it to the Games or reaching an elite level. And if there are a shit ton of athletes who are juicing competing at only a local level, what does that say about competitors at the highest level?

I’m sorry to hear that Gatsby. I kinda figured as much when looking at the CrossFit athletes compete. I think that’s one of the reasons why women from CrossFit never really appealed to me. I appreciate the workouts they do but I was thinking that there was something underneath that really helped men and women to get to that competition point that you are talking about.

Genuine question: if you're opposed to steroids, then what sports do you like to watch? And which girls with muscle are you into?
I went to high school in the 90's, and even back then, members of the wrestling, basketball, and football team were caught using anabolics. I have to think that PED's of different types are prevalent in nearly every professional sport at this point.

Genuine answer: I’m more of a person who would rather see women build muscle naturally. I know that is more difficult for them to do but I do not see the need for PED’s to be used in any sport, regardless of women or men using it. Look at the issue in baseball right now and the reason why players like Bonds, McGwire, Sosa, Clemens can’t get in to the HOF.
I’m sure some of the athletes I watch today use PED’s and I don’t know about it. I’m going to quote you here to make my point… “but why are you posting this on a bodybuilding fan site where like 98% of the women benefit from these substances?”
As you can see from this site, it’s not a bodybuilding site, but a site where any woman who works out gets some recognition, athlete, bodybuilder, somewhat casual but serious woman working out, etc.
The thing is, these women are not benefitting in the long run with the use of these substances. One of the issues here is that many people on this site do not think nor care about the after affects that these women will face once their main lifting days, competitions, etc is done and they have to live with the physical and possibly mental and psychological effects of the consistent use of PED’s over the years. A lot of us here could care less and only care about what we see them do now. A lot of us don’t care about their lives outside of the few pictures or videos they take.
The reason why so many women are actually scared or offended of men is because we treat them like objects. If we men don’t objectify them and treat them like people, maybe they wouldn’t feel that way, and there’s a strong possibility that they also wouldn’t have to take PED’s or steroids…

Just 100 percent wrong, sorry.
Female bodybuilders take PEDs for themselves. They train for themselves. What men, (or anybody else for that matter) thinks of their appearance has zero influence on their decision.
Maybe only bodybuilders understand this?

I'd definitely agree with two of your points:
Many people here don't care about the after affects of PED use for their favorite athletes. I think most people probably don't though. We want to see exceptional performance, and those substances deliver it.
A lot of FBB fans really objectify their crushes and only see their value in pictures and appearance.
But I've known quite a lot of FBB's in my time and I speak to a lot of them presently. The impression that I get is that... they kind of love PED's. They want to be muscular and strong. It's not just more difficult for them to do, it's downright impossible for most of them to build any more than a modest amount of muscle naturally. And that's without the definition and hardness that we prize.
FBB's do steroids for the same reason as MBB's do it... to be huge and powerful and freaky. You could argue that the pro judging is driving this, but plenty of amateurs do it as well. If you want muscles, then steroids make it happen faster and better, and there definitely are ways of using them safely. The genuinely love the strength and the lifestyle, and PED's just come with the territory. Same for men.
I'm curious, who are some of your favorite women on this site? Honestly curious... I'm not doing it as a "gotcha" to be like "THEY'RE ON ROIDS THO." I really like to follow pretty and natty-ish looking girls on here.
Just 100 percent wrong, sorry.

I believe what you are incorrect on is the fact that they are choosing to do so because just like everyone else who is taking it, they are looking for an advantage over everyone else.
Everyone is training for themselves yes, but especially those competing, whether a show or a CrossFit competition, you are using your body against someone else who is using their body. If they are not clean chemically as opposed to someone who is doing it more naturally, and the things they are using are acceptable by their community, then that’s where I’m supportive of it.
Follow the rules basically. Stop trying to cheat.
It doesn’t take a bodybuilder or high performance athlete to understand that.

Please check my profile :) I’m sure I’m following or favorited some women that contradict my statement but I feel strongly about those women dangit! :)
Re: Opposing steroids in principle yet visiting sites like this...
I think high-end sports cars look great and I watch lots of violent movies with gunplay. That doesn't mean I want to see more Lambos on the road, or that I would even own one if I had billions of dollars. It doesn't mean I want to own a bunch of firearms, or snap pictures of myself acting tough. In other words, I can make a distinction between fantasy and reality.
Just 100 percent wrong, sorry.

Seconded. Good fucking lord that comment made me 🤦♂️.
“Men objectifying them” has absolutely ZERO to do with whether they take PEDs or not. They use them because they are competitive, or they want to look a certain way IN SPITE of what “men” like.
I get that you don’t have to be into lifting and the fitness community yourself to be attracted to buff women, but some of these comments here show that a lot of people really have no clue on what goes on in the heads of female athletes.

Yes, as you said, the majority of women that you've uploaded and favorited are 100% using PED's to achieve their physique.
Look, I think that you have to take bodybuilding and figure out of the comparison with other sports. Bodybuilding is all about aesthetics and muscles. It's closer to a beauty pageant. It straight up doesn't exist without PED's. They are absolutely necessary for the look. It's not even a case of needing more time... a natural bodybuilder will NEVER have the same conditioning and size as a juiced bodybuilder no matter what they do.
I very much think that PED's are to bodybuilding as helmets are to Football. They are required equipment. The dumb thing is that they're illegal and unregulated, but that's our government's fault... not bodybuilding's fault. Let's say that Arnold is emblematic of bodybuilding. He used steroids throughout his career and admitted to it many times. Bodybuilding and steroids simply go hand in hand.
When it comes to other sports, I see your point that juiced competitors can get an unfair edge on natty ones. I don't really have an opinion on that.. but the horse has been out of that barn for a long time, and it's naive to think that most pro athletes aren't using something. With all that money on the line - of course they are.
And as the other guys said, FBB's and MBB's juice because they want to. They want to be big and muscular and powerful. They often don't think they're big enough. Even someone like Brandi Mae who earns a living from being objectified for her muscles... I'm sure if you asked her, she also likes being strong and powerful, and would want to be bigger if she could.
I mean... you're entitled to your opinion, but why are you posting this on a bodybuilding fan site where like 98% of the women benefit from these substances?

You can admire their physiques ( and I do) but that doesn't in any way mean that bodybuilders SHOULD take steroids. As I said the results steroids produce are spectacular but because of the risks involved I think it's prudent that they SHOULDN'T.
Maybe this will add a little weight to what I'm saying:
"Bodybuilding With Steroids Damages Kidneys
Summary:
Athletes who use anabolic steroids may gain muscle mass and strength, but they can also destroy their kidney function, according to a new article. The findings indicate that the habitual use of steroids has serious harmful effects on the kidneys that were not previously recognized...
The investigators studied a group of 10 bodybuilders who used steroids for many years and developed protein leakage into the urine and severe reductions in kidney function. Kidney tests revealed that nine of the ten bodybuilders developed a condition called focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, a type of scarring within the kidneys. This disease typically occurs when the kidneys are overworked. The kidney damage in the bodybuilders has similarities to that seen in morbidly obese patients, but appears to be even more severe...
The researchers propose that extreme increases in muscle mass require the kidneys to increase their filtration rate, placing harmful levels of stress on these organs. It's also likely that steroids have direct toxic effects on the kidneys. "Athletes who use anabolic steroids and the doctors caring for them need to be aware of the potentially serious risks to the kidney," said Dr. Herlitz."

So, are you still good in asserting bodybuilders should take steroids? Would you still recommend them to the women featured on this site?

Dude. No one said that steroid abuse is healthy. I know all about the kidney issues. But yeah, bodybuilders need to take it, because it's central to bodybuilding.
And the women on this site couldn't give a rat's ass about what I recommend. Or you. Or anyone else. They're doing it for themselves, and I'm sure plenty of them are aware of the risks. Ever see Dr. Sunny Andrews? She's literally a surgeon, and if you think she's natural.. then I have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn.
Again, here's an analogy... we all know that playing American football is extremely harmful to your health. Your body (in most cases) gets destroyed by it. Think that the NFL is going to ban tackles? Maybe everyone is going to start playing touch football? It's the physical price that you pay to be a pro in the sport of Football. The effects of steroid use is an inextricable negative effect of bodybuilding.
THAT SAID.. if the drugs were actually legal and regulated, I bet that we'd have far better harm management. I'd love to see steroids get used rather than abused.

This guy gets it. Couldn’t have said it better myself, Muscles_Toez. Also, great taste in women. And toes. You’re a smart man.

NEED to take isn't the same as SHOULD. A drug addict needs to take but that doesn't mean he should, does it?
Anyway, I understand that being on a soapbox saying that bodybuilders or anyone else shouldn't take steroids on health grounds isn't going to change behaviour. But bodybuilders and other sports people dying before their time or speaking of their regret for taking them might. Here is an interview of late Lyle Alzado regretting his use of steroids:
