i know many of you would love someone that size to take up the mantle and yes, face swapping will be the best option in the future if they could get an FBB to suit up and NOT act, but even then they would still have to probably do some physical acting....
I'd rather have a good actor in the role. Gina Carano was fine in Star Wars but, frankly, that's the best she's going to get. Either you're good at it or not, and she does not have it.
There aren't many, physically, that could pull off a nice face, nice voice, big body. Jess Hoffman comes to mind as one. But in Hollywood where you're only as good as your last and next role, no one woman is going to put on significant mass for fear of popularity backlash and inability to pull their next gig, which having a muscular physique may disclude them. Look how people made comments about Michelle Obama's arms being too muscular, she wasn't even muscular!
Anyways, as long as the script isn't laden with lines literally saying "girl power" and "girls do it better" etc I won't care. As long as it's true to her character and she is a woman of action rather than platitudes.
I was kind of wanting to see a CG She Hulk, but I understand that would be a little to expensive for a Disney Plus show. They got really good at doing the Hulk (especially in Endgame) and having her be CG would make it so we could have both a good actor play her, whilst also having the She Hulk be a true to source amazon. Marvel obviously isn't a stranger to retcons so if She Hulk does appear in the next Avengers or whatever I hope they might splurge on the full CG for her, but I'm not really holding my breath...
There’s been a lot of great points made in this thread. Personally, I’m kinda just happy that She Hulk is getting a show at all. I’ve been a huge fan of her comics for years. Ever since the Incredible Hulk came out I was hoping She Hulk would get something. Waited for over a decade to finally at least getting a tv show. We’ll see what they do with her concerning her muscles when the show comes out.

maslany as hulk, totally, she has the chops and i definitely remember how good her physical acting was on Orphan Black. BUt Jamil? uhhhhh
Not getting very villainous vibes from Jamil. But who knows, maybe she can bring the intensity to the role.

She will be CG.
Besides the art, which is great, keep in mind that comic takes place in a time after SH had been defeated by an alien fighter (the "Champion of the Universe"), and needed to improve in a short amount of time. Jen then discovered her strenght as She-Hulk was exponential to the one she had as her non transformed self, so she trained heavily just as Jennifer:

Even when her power increasement was enough to beat the Champion, it wasn't for beating Titania, who had the Power Gem after ..."stealing" it from him (the "Imbalance of Power" storyline)...

Bruce Banner never has to train or anything though for his Hulk strength, does he?
im hoping that this is a trailer rush job and they clean it up, but the way moon knight turned out my hopes are not high lol
The trailer was fine. CGI seemed a bit off but if they're going the John Bryne way then ok. Hope the series is able to work on the CGI further on.
Show looks like it'll be a fun watch. CGI She-Hulk still needs a lot of work. No doubt it will improve before the actual release.
But now that we've seen what her actual look will be I still feel they should have gone the practical route. She's tall but not remotely that thickly muscled. She's figure competitor level. Some creative editing and camerawork and they could have easily hired a real woman to paint green.
But I'll take what I can get.
It's amazing how Kristina dwarfs Isabelle like she does . I believe Isabelle weighs in the 180's offseason . Or at least she has in the past .
