Ok so looking at Eden Nedelcu, she doesn't appear to compete in anything so we're really just concerned now with her social media presence. Her IG handle is @edenn_carlo and Eden Carlo is in fact her legal name now, so I went ahead and made the change.
Bethany seems to be in the same category... non-competitor, and her IG handle now reflects her new name @bethanynavarro_ (she also uses Bethany Navarro in her bio). So I changed her name here too.
And what is the right place to notify mods, by the way?
Here is fine, although typically we receive them through messages to the site staff.
While I'm at it, might as well leave it here that Missy Farrell/Terwilliger seems to have added another surname to her collection and now goes by Truscott.
So yes she goes by Truscott now on her social media, and it seems most contest sites have her name updated as well. Again our goal is to maximize a user's ability to be able to find her content. And so I went ahead and made the change on here. Thanks for letting us know.
When making bulk name changes, is it possible to also adjust model subscriptions accordingly?
Now that Missy Terwilliger images have all been (rightfully) changed to Missy Truscott, anyone subscribed via her previous name shows zero images and will stop receiving future notifications. Unless they happen to come across mentions in a thread like this, in which case they can manually unsubscribe/subscribe as needed -- but even that wouldn't work if the change was made after a message to site staff.
I now understand why I repeatedly get a notification, only to see a suddenly empty list of images, and where the model is not blacklisted. Without knowing the new name there's not much someone can do.
@cgsweat: in the interim, when a mod makes such a bulk name change could they post that to a specific thread -- either this one, or a new one created just for that purpose? Especially if the original request came to the mods via a direct site message. That way at least users can learn about the change and update things ourselves accordingly if they want. Perhaps the thread can also be "pinned" to the top, like some other "info only" threads are, to more easily find it later.
I don't see this as a high priority. Most users are intelligent enough to figure it out since 99% of the time a name change will be for either her first or last name and not both. A simple search for either name will reveal results for what her name has changed to. Also users should learn to search by comment text more often, since many times it will reveal information about her social media profiles and other names she might go by.
HI mods what is the general policy for name changes when a GWM get married
