Can we all agree: No more photos

May 25, 2021 - permalink

I get it, sometimes the photos particularly taken professionally with the right light at the right time and then airbrushed can look great. But what can you do with them? I think this should become or skew towards exclusively video. Furthermore, the girls will see the photos get no play and start shooting more. Thoughts?

nah, some videos are too long. or show a bunch of seconds of uninteresting stuff... the picture cuts to the point: the moment the lady IS posing/flexing. also, when you don't want to spend all your data , pics are cool

what? no dude...

Couldn't disagree more. Photos are fantastic and I often prefer the ones taken on a phone to the ones taken professionally, I feel they have more of a person and "everyday" feel to them.

I get what the OP is saying, but for me it would only apply to high quality videos. Paysite quality. There are a lot of factors involved. I've seen a lot of pictures that are simply screenshots of some existing video, and 90% of the time I'd rather just see the video. However, if you're talking about pro-photographer level pictures, then for me those are always worth seeing because no video could ever do those justice. And that's why many photographers don't even bother with video, except for maybe a behind-the-scenes.

But yes, video still has many advantages because it's usually more entertaining to see muscles in motion. I just wouldn't discount photos entirely.

Of course we are not ditching photos.

In the case of videos vs. screenshots from the video, the video is preferred, though.

What should be thought about before uploading is quality of photos.

Is it kinda bad quality? Are they mostly covered up? Do they have a good amount of muscle or are the flexing and that’s it? Or it’s the bare minimum to function as a human being?

Or you have two photos of the same woman and they are identical except she’s looking up in one or right in the other?

Or if a woman has 25 pages of photos here, is it worth it to post every photo she release? Or is is a really GREAT photo to share.

Maybe it's me, but that reads like a cry for help from a Mod who's seen one crappy, pending image too many. I can only imagine the dreaded upload queue is brutal to go through, because no matter how many images you approve/turn down... MORE ARE ON THEIR WAY!!!

i mean it's all so subjective right?

some people here will like someone built like Angelina Jolie or Katie Couric. And some others want Natalya or paige. i think it's reasonable to ask to think about what a minimum amount of muscle is before posting, or checking to see if a pic of a popular woman has been posted before (if they have like 10+ pages, its worth looking), especially if it's 5 years old lol, and ESPECIALLY if someone wonders why their recently posted photo has been merged with the identical upload with 100+ likes.

in my two photo example i personally wouldn't keep both in any album i had if i was saving from social media--which i would say is diff from same pose in two diff situations or on different days.

While I did do just that with each of my uploads, I think a lot of users want to upload and share ASAP, and don't consider such details.... despite the upload rules being right there when uploading

You can always report images to us, if you think that they don't belong to this website.

Edit: Note, but just because a girl isn't as big as a Blakelee Ortega, Eva Montgomery or Alyssa Kiessling that doesn't mean that she's not suited for girlswithmuscle.com.

On the subject of the videos, it is better to have a short video that is 90% muscle than a longer one that is 10% muscle. The longer one would be candidate for removal, since it lacks focus, and would have better off being trimmed. This is in the same category as images which are 50%+ border space.

Photography and videography are a different skillsets and each present the athlete differently. Done right they both help show off the model in the best way possible. At the same time not all videos or photographs do the model justice, so we should always consider that when uploading.

Also we need to the site is about muscle and not purely fitness, so that should be considered when uploading.
