Some women get too big for the smaller divisions, so they move up the ladder. Similarly, for the ones who downsize, it’s probably because they can’t or don’t want to keep up with the bigger girls.
It could also be about slow progression in regards to competing higher. They wanna get big, but they know it’ll take awhile, so they work their way up from figure to physique to bodybuilding.
Is there any particular reason as to why bodybuilders (especially female bodybuilders) that they switch between competition categories?
In the sense, that when they begin participating in bodybuilding shows, they might start at the figure division then move up to the physique class and finally to the bodybuilding division or vice versa of moving to a lower division like physique, figure or fitness.
They might even switch between the various weight classes too.
Any ideas, suggestions, clues, opinions as to why do the female competitors choose to do so?
