We did! That was on the old version of the site, but it was one of the few things I didn't port over to the new site in 2018, mostly because it was computationally expensive and didn't seem to have a lot of demand. It was also not very interesting to look at past the first time because it didn't change a lot over time.
You're the first person to bring it up since it disappeared, so it's good to know that there is some demand for this. If more people are interested I could prioritize bringing it back.
Oh cool!
Makes sense that it's computationally expensive w/ the number of users and number of photos on the site. I occasionally try to get the same result by looking at the other favorites of people who favorited a photo that represents one of my archetypes, but it's rarely as good as the old feature. Maybe there's some way to discount the load, like updating it only once a month.
And even if the top of one's list doesn't change that much, it is still helpful to be able go through the favorites of like-minded people occasionally to find things you miss when you're away from the site, or from earlier periods.
I liked it too. Thought it was an interesting way to browse the site now and then. It hadn't occurred to me that it was resource intensive.
I thought about this a lot end ended up doing this: https://www.girlswithmuscle.com/forum/thread/... which I think is a superior version of the same idea.
Did this site once have a 'similarity score' that would allow you to see how much your favorites overlapped with those of other users? Or am I thinking of something from another site? It was/would be a great way to find pictures in line with tastes.
