Wanted to add another thing: I think the issue here is one of "disincentive". Other users have mentioned it on this thread. If someone is kind enough to post something on this site in their FREE time, they should not be disincentivized from doing so. Why punish someone doing a public service? The name almost always gets added anyway and the more content the merrier imo.
Why punish someone doing a public service?
I see that you're new here (welcome on board, btw) and haven't uploaded anything (yet). My idea of a "punishment" isn't something new on this site, it's just an extension. Here is how uploading works: You have 2 "direct uploads" per day that allow you to instantly publish one to two images (there are also some bonus uploads). After that you have nothing left and have to wait until you get another direct upload. Now, if you upload an image in your free time and it is a duplicate (because someone else already uploaded the same image and you haven't checked it before), then you will lose one of your direct uploads.
I suggest something similar for uploads that don't have a name after x hours. If you're not lazy and give a name, then good for you. If you don't know the name, but someone else can give it in less than x hours, then good for you. If you don't know the name and nobody else in less than x hours, you will lose one direct upload (just like how it works with duplicates). If you know the name, but you're just lazy and nobody else will do the job for you, then you'll lose one direct upload. This is just a one-time punishment and it's not even harsh, because after just 24h you'll have another two direct uploads - just like after uploading a duplicate.

Oh wow, hopefully it will gain new attention and somebody knows her name.
I encourage everyone to provide no names with all uploads, because haha fuck anyone who proposes a penalty.
I suppose those other guys are paying more for their membership here than I am. Regardless, it's still a ridiculous thing to be angry over. As for my trolling, I should not be shamed for having a fetish for other people's butt-hurt.
BTW, you don't "lose" a direct upload if you upload a duplicate-- you have wasted a direct upload by uploading a duplicate. You win some, you lose some.
In theory this is good but in practice I have no way of reading the minds of uploaders to find out whether they did or did not know the name.
The trouble I've encountered when I've uploaded duplicates was that I couldn't find the person by searching their name (as I knew it). There's little in the way of any fixed naming conventions here. Sometimes it's stage names, nick names, IG handles, etc. And worse, because we're naming women, the names can exist as maiden name vs married name.
Until recently, Victoria Pratt was listed as Vicky Pratt, and Stacey Lynn Boetto was listed as Stacey Lynn. Both wrong. Vicky was effectively a nickname, but she uses her full name personally and professionally. Boetto was dropped by Robert Kennedy to make the stage name Stacey Lynn, but she's always gone by her full name.
Kailash Persaud is the name used on GWM, but on IG, she uses Kailash Winklaar.
The queen of Spain's name is Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano, but on GWM is labeled Queen Letizia Of Spain.
There are countless possible permutations that arise, and without knowing the specific name tag on GWM in advance, it can be difficult if not impossible to find galleries to look through beforehand to ensure that your uploads aren't duplicates.
Having unnamed images and first name only images on the site further complicates that.
If a full name is known to the uploader, it is the uploader that should include it. There is no feasible way to police what the uploader knows, and if the content is appropriate for GWM, it's still desirable to have.
Aside from egregious repeat offenders that upload hundreds of images left unnamed, if they have the diligence and persistence to upload such a large volume of images, they must apply that same diligence and persistence to correctly naming their uploads.
Duplicates are unfortunate, but can be easily merged if named, even if the names differ. Unnamed images if not given names inside of 24 hours by other users are far less likely to ever be named, and can be harder to merge if they're duplicates.
Penalties and rewards shouldn't be necessary. In theory, users should simply be responsible in their contributions. The rewards are a treasure trove of images and a forum to squabble with each other about them.
I always want a name if possible, but if I never learn their names, I'm ever so glad to have # 1569919 and # 2028110 in the gallery.
EDIT: It also occurs to me that leaving uploads unnamed has become a deliberate tactic by some to evade hard/soft bans. The most frequent offender I've seen personally has been unnamed uploads of Eun Hee Kang.
If you run across a picture that doesn't have a name, if you know who it is for sure the fill the name in. This would help.

I do this all the time. Or correct the spelling of a name, or standardize the name.
I'm just as frustrated by the nameless pics and anyone, but I disagree with this penalty idea. I do wish the people who upload without names wouldn't be so lazy (except Tempp, he is a machine and gets a pass, always!). But penalties would discourage uploading and that would be a net negative for the site, without question.
I guess we'll just have to keep commenting "name???" doesn't seem to be any ideal solution. Maybe you could put a big red banner on the uploads page begging people to name the photos properly or even make it impossible to upload without naming. I don't know...
Why not make a whole section dadicated to the issue? Where users can upload all their posts with women they don’t know the name of. This way they dont float around and others who do know these women can comment/put in their names in.
This feature already exists in the Advanced search of the Images section:

@phenoms: Reading what you wrote, I don't think I necessarily disagree with any of it, but most of it does not seem actionable.

Yeah there are several reasons people might leave off the name even if they know it, including what you said, or just the perception that without the name tagged, the picture will get more attention. I am aware of at least one but probably several users who leave the name off for this reason intentionally. I am not a fan. That said, I still think it's preferable to have the uploads without a name, than if I were to ban those users and delete their uploads, in which case we wouldn't even have that.

In cases like these you should do a rename as per https://www.girlswithmuscle.com/comment/2861072/.

@Chainer: You think xqcua aydhezoiffrhhovich is iconic too?!?

I submitted the name change for approval.
I had thought I'd remembered that it was one of your Mods that had renamed an upload I'd done of her, but it was user shav6789 (per this post). See the screenshot of the comments. Since it was the accepted name tag used on the site, I didn't see reason to contest it at the time.
I deleted my upload of her upon confirming it was a "morph". I had found it on her official IG, and hadn't expected that she'd have such an egregious "morph" uploaded as if it was real. Live and learn.

@Chainer: What are your thoughts on the GWM name tag for "Queen Letizia Of Spain"? I was admittedly surprised that upon checking, that does appear to be the common use in press releases and on her official IG. Another had "Her Majesty the Queen Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano (of Spain)". That's a lot to type. Although GWM already has the common use, I am left thinking it should still have her full name such as "Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano (Queen of Spain)".
Naming can vary over time, I can see where it’s hard to derive good statistics/scoring from it. But just a brainstorm: what about exploring ways to provide incentives, rather than penalties? Might be an opportunity to have a new metric. I suspect the site can measure a correct name submitted by a user within a certain amount of time after upload. This can be shown as a ratio to the user’s upload count.

Seems fine.

Incentives are great, but it's much easier said than done.
For instance, I could implement and display this metric on their profile page. But why would they care?
Some folks will care, a lot of folks will not care. Kind of like the count of original image uploads. Overall goal would be to add to a bundle of functions that incentivizes desirable behavior on the site.
Some of these things matter as a generalized reputational component, and there will be always people who over-subscribe to it and others who don’t give a whit.
Like I mentioned, just a brainstorm. I know much of this stuff is difficult to implement and not worth doing without defining some sort of pay off or beneficial use case. However, if you were counting/tracking, and the calculation is reliable, you might be able to tie it to other privileges, such as ability to upload more images at one time or some other thing people seem to like that benefits the site.
How about punishing those who waste time with such stupid ideas.
