Timestamps for uploads?

Why isn't there a timestamp for when an image was uploaded?
Right now it's only possible to guess when it was uploaded on the site from the dates of comments, if there are comments on the image. If there are none, it could be 1 day old or 10 years old, it's anyone's guess.

There's a drop-down on the right that lets you know what day/year the image was posted (click on uploader).
