Controlling speed of video clips

Is there now a change? Before, one could stop and start a clip at the bottom. Now there is an annoying 'start' or 'pause' white button right in the middle of the picture. Any possibility of going back to the original format?

This is a change Chrome made to their video player, not something we did on the GWM side of things.

For what it's worth, the big pause thing in the middle of the video goes away if you move your mouse off the video.
