AS from today, the url www.girlswithmuscle.com is blocked in Qatar. It was just a matter of time before the internet police would find out about this site which is already blocked in the UAE and Oman.

Until now I have been able to access the site (which I visited  since its inception 3 years ago). It will be missed (i might be using proxy from time to time but well).

What is strange is that here porn and political sites are blocked, but GWM is neither, oh well I guess the censors don't probably make a difference and you can imaging that this interest is very far from what is 'acceptable' for a woman.

I'm wondering what the censor thought about the site/'fetish' (don't like that word) before hitting the 'block' button

Sorry to hear that! Can't you access the site through proxy? There has to be a million proxies on the net...

I'm sorry about it. As dong said, why don't you use proxies to use the site? There are 1000s of proxies available. But tell me the reason, why are they banning political and porn sites? Don't you guys enjoy freedom there and you never feel to fight against it? I'm quite surprised to know that even in 2012, there are such kind of horrible rules. Fight man! otherwise world will become a slave of corporates and politicians. Let's fight!

The problem in some of these islamic countries is, that religion and politics is not seperated. And many people want these islamic rules as laws. Actual you see it in Egypt, where after free election an islamic party made it and are now going from one kicked dictator to the next.  ???
